2022-12-16selftests: devlink: add a warning for interfaces coming upJakub Kicinski
NetworkManager (and other daemons) may bring the interface up and cause failures in quiescence checks. Print a helpful warning, and take the interface down again. I seem to forget about this every time I run these tests on a new VM. Signed-off-by: Jakub Kicinski <kuba@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2021-06-08selftests: devlink_lib: Fix bouncing of netdevsim DEVLINK_DEVPetr Machata
In the commit referenced below, a check was added to devlink_lib that asserts the existence of a devlink device referenced by $DEVLINK_DEV. Unfortunately, several netdevsim tests point DEVLINK_DEV at a device that does not exist at the time that devlink_lib is sourced. Thus these tests spuriously fail. Fix this by introducing an override. By setting DEVLINK_DEV to an empty string, the user declares their intention to handle DEVLINK_DEV management on their own. In all netdevsim tests that use devlink_lib and set DEVLINK_DEV, set instead an empty DEVLINK_DEV just before sourcing devlink_lib, and set it to the correct value right afterwards. 2020-05-22selftests: netdevsim: Always initialize 'RET' variableIdo Schimmel
The variable is used by log_test() to check if the test case completely successfully or not. In case it is not initialized at the start of a test case, it is possible for the test case to fail despite not encountering any errors. Example: ``` ... TEST: Trap group statistics [ OK ] TEST: Trap policer [FAIL] Policer drop counter was not incremented TEST: Trap policer binding [FAIL] Policer drop counter was not incremented ``` Failure of trap_policer_test() caused trap_policer_bind_test() to fail as well. Fix by adding missing initialization of the variable. 2020-03-30selftests: netdevsim: Add test cases for devlink-trap policersIdo Schimmel
Add test cases for packet trap policer set / show commands as well as for the binding of these policers to packet trap groups. Both good and bad flows are tested for maximum coverage. v2: * Add test case with new 'fail_trap_policer_set' knob * Add test case for partially modified trap group Signed-off-by: Ido Schimmel <idosch@mellanox.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2019-08-17selftests: devlink_trap: Add test cases for devlink-trapIdo Schimmel
Add test cases for devlink-trap on top of the netdevsim implementation. The tests focus on the devlink-trap core infrastructure and user space API. They test both good and bad flows and also dismantle of the netdev and devlink device used to report trapped packets. This allows device drivers to focus their tests on device-specific functionality.
