2025-05-13qlcnic: fix memory leak in qlcnic_sriov_channel_cfg_cmd()Abdun Nihaal
In one of the error paths in qlcnic_sriov_channel_cfg_cmd(), the memory allocated in qlcnic_sriov_alloc_bc_mbx_args() for mailbox arguments is not freed. Fix that by jumping to the error path that frees them, by calling qlcnic_free_mbx_args(). This was found using static analysis. 2022-01-09qlcnic: Simplify DMA settingChristophe JAILLET
As stated in [1], dma_set_mask() with a 64-bit mask will never fail if dev->dma_mask is non-NULL. So, if it fails, the 32 bits case will also fail for the same reason. So qlcnic_set_dma_mask(), (in qlcnic_main.c) can be simplified a lot and inlined directly in its only caller. If dma_set_mask_and_coherent() succeeds, 'pci_using_dac' is known to be 1. So it can be removed from all the calling chain. qlcnic_setup_netdev() can finally be simplified as-well. 2021-12-18qlcnic: potential dereference null pointer of rx_queue->page_ringJiasheng Jiang
The return value of kcalloc() needs to be checked. To avoid dereference of null pointer in case of the failure of alloc. Therefore, it might be better to change the return type of qlcnic_sriov_alloc_vlans() and return -ENOMEM when alloc fails and return 0 the others. Also, qlcnic_sriov_set_guest_vlan_mode() and __qlcnic_pci_sriov_enable() should deal with the return value of qlcnic_sriov_alloc_vlans(). The kzalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, kcalloc(). This patch replaces cases of: kzalloc(a * b, gfp) with: kcalloc(a * b, gfp) as well as handling cases of: kzalloc(a * b * c, gfp) with: kzalloc(array3_size(a, b, c), gfp) as it's slightly less ugly than: kzalloc_array(array_size(a, b), c, gfp) This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like: kzalloc(4 * 1024, gfp) though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion. Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were dropped, since they're redundant. 2017-06-02qlcnic: Fix tunnel offload for 82xx adaptersChopra, Manish
Qlogic's 82xx series adapter doesn't support tunnel offloads, driver incorrectly assumes that it is supported and causes firmware hang while running tunnel IO. 2016-08-03qlcnic: fix data structure corruption in async mbx command handlingManish Chopra
This patch fixes a data structure corruption bug in the SRIOV VF mailbox handler code. While handling mailbox commands from the atomic context, driver is accessing and updating qlcnic_async_work_list_struct entry fields in the async work list. These fields could be concurrently accessed by the work function resulting in data corruption. This patch restructures async mbx command handling by using a separate async command list instead of using a list of work_struct structures. A single work_struct is used to schedule and handle the async commands with proper locking mechanism. 2015-02-11qlcnic: Delete existing multicast MAC list before adding newShahed Shaikh
Driver keeps adding multicast addresses without deleting removed MACs and worrying about adapters filter limit. This results into actual count of programmed multicast addresses get accumulated over the time and overruns the adapter's filter limit without putting device in ACCEPT_ALL_MULTI mode. This causes newly added multicast traffic to fail after the sequence of addition - deletion in certain pattern. through ip tool. o min_tx_rate puts lower limit on the VF bandwidth. VF is guaranteed to have a bandwidth of at least this value. max_tx_rate puts cap on the VF bandwidth. VF can have a bandwidth of up to this value. o A new handler set_vf_rate for attr IFLA_VF_RATE has been introduced which takes 4 arguments: netdev, VF number, min_tx_rate, max_tx_rate o ndo_set_vf_rate replaces ndo_set_vf_tx_rate handler. o Drivers that currently implement ndo_set_vf_tx_rate should now call ndo_set_vf_rate instead and reject attempt to set a minimum bandwidth greater than 0 for IFLA_VF_TX_RATE when IFLA_VF_RATE is not yet implemented by driver. o If user enters only one of either min_tx_rate or max_tx_rate, then, userland should read back the other value from driver and set both for IFLA_VF_RATE.
