2025-06-16octeontx2: Set appropriate PF, VF masks and shifts based on siliconSubbaraya Sundeep
Number of RVU PFs on CN20K silicon have increased to 96 from maximum of 32 that were supported on earlier silicons. Every RVU PF and VF is identified by HW using a 16bit PF_FUNC value. Due to the change in Max number of PFs in CN20K, the bit encoding of this PF_FUNC has changed. This patch handles the change by using helper functions(using silicon check) to use PF,VF masks and shifts to support both new silicon CN20K, OcteonTx series. These helper functions are used in different modules. Also moved the NIX AF register offset macros to other files which will be posted in coming patches. 2023-08-09octeontx2-af: Remove redundant functions rvu_npc_exact_mac2u64()Li Zetao
The rvu_npc_exact_mac2u64() is used to convert an Ethernet MAC address into a u64 value, as this is exactly what ether_addr_to_u64() does. Use ether_addr_to_u64() to replace the rvu_npc_exact_mac2u64(). 2023-07-25octeontx2-af: Fix hash extraction enable configurationSuman Ghosh
As of today, hash extraction support is enabled for all the silicons. Because of which we are facing initialization issues when the silicon does not support hash extraction. During creation of the hardware parsing table for IPv6 address, we need to consider if hash extraction is enabled then extract only 32 bit, otherwise 128 bit needs to be extracted. This patch fixes the issue and configures the hardware parser based on the availability of the feature. 2023-07-07octeontx2-af: Promisc enable/disable through mboxRatheesh Kannoth
In legacy silicon, promiscuous mode is only modified through CGX mbox messages. In CN10KB silicon, it is modified from CGX mbox and NIX. This breaks legacy application behaviour. Fix this by removing call from NIX. 2023-06-09octeontx2-af: Fix promiscuous modeRatheesh Kannoth
CN10KB silicon introduced a new exact match feature, which is used for DMAC filtering. The state of installed DMAC filters in this exact match table is getting corrupted when promiscuous mode is toggled. Fix this by not touching Exact match related config when promiscuous mode is toggled. 2023-05-03octeontx2-af: Update/Fix NPC field hash extract featureRatheesh Kannoth
1. As per previous implementation, mask and control parameter to generate the field hash value was not passed to the caller program. Updated the secret key mbox to share that information as well, as a part of the fix. 2. Earlier implementation did not consider hash reduction of both source and destination IPv6 addresses. Only source IPv6 address was considered. 2022-12-07octeontx2-af: Support variable number of lmacsRakesh Babu Saladi
Most of the code in CGX/RPM driver assumes that max lmacs per given MAC as always, 4 and the number of MAC blocks also as 4. With this assumption, the max number of interfaces supported is hardcoded to 16. This creates a problem as next gen CN10KB silicon MAC supports 8 lmacs per MAC block. This patch solves the problem by using "max lmac per MAC block" value from constant csrs and uses cgx_cnt_max value which is populated based number of MAC blocks supported by silicon. 2022-11-30octeontx2-af: Simplify a size computation in rvu_npc_exact_init()Christophe JAILLET

2022-11-30octeontx2-af: Fix the size of memory allocated for the 'id_bmap' bitmapChristophe JAILLET
This allocation is really spurious. The size of the bitmap is 'tot_ids' and it is used as such in the driver. So we could expect something like: table->id_bmap = devm_kcalloc(rvu->dev, BITS_TO_LONGS(table->tot_ids), sizeof(long), GFP_KERNEL); However, when the bitmap is allocated, we allocate: BITS_TO_LONGS(table->tot_ids) * table->tot_ids ~= table->tot_ids / 32 * table->tot_ids ~= table->tot_ids^2 / 32 It is proportional to the square of 'table->tot_ids' which seems to potentially be big. Allocate the expected amount of memory, and switch to the bitmap API to have it more straightforward. 2022-11-30octeontx2-af: Use the bitmap API to allocate bitmapsChristophe JAILLET

This also makes the comment "Allocate bitmap for 32 entry mcam" more explicit because now 32 is really used in the allocation function, instead of an obscure 'sizeof(long)'. 2022-11-30octeontx2-af: Fix a potentially spurious error messageChristophe JAILLET
When this error message is displayed, we know that the all the bits in the bitmap are set. So, bitmap_weight() will return the number of bits of the bitmap, which is 'table->tot_ids'. It is unlikely that a bit will be cleared between mutex_unlock() and dev_err(), but, in order to simplify the code and avoid this possibility, just take 'table->tot_ids'.
