2021-05-26mtd: rawnand: Avoid accessing NV-DDR timings from legacy codeMiquel Raynal
Legacy code should not benefit from newer features, especially in helpers that have been deprecated for a very long time. People who want NV-DDR support must migrate their driver to the ->exec_op() API. 2020-12-10mtd: onenand: Use mtd->oops_panic_write as conditionThomas Gleixner
struct mtd_info has a flag oops_panic_write which is set when the write operation is issued via the panic_write() callback. That allows controller drivers to distinguish the panic write from a regular write. Replace the open coded 'in_interrupt() | oops_in_progress' checks with a check for that flag. in_interrupt() is an unrealiable indicator anyway as it covers all sorts of atomic contexts not only hard and soft interrupt service routines. 2020-06-26mtd: rawnand: s/data_interface/interface_config/Miquel Raynal
The name/suffix data_interface is a bit misleading in that the field or functions actually represent a configuration that can be applied by the controller/chip. Let's rename all fields/functions/hooks that are worth renaming. Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@collabora.com> Signed-off-by: Miquel Raynal <miquel.raynal@bootlin.com>
2020-06-26mtd: rawnand: Hide the chip->data_interface indirectionMiquel Raynal
As a preparation for allocating the data interface structure dynamically (and rename it), let's avoid accessing chip->data_interface directly. Instead, we introduce a helper, nand_get_interface_config(), and use it to retrieve the current data interface configuration out of a nand_chip object. 2020-06-26mtd: rawnand: Rename nand_has_setup_data_iface()Miquel Raynal
This is really a NAND controller hook so call it nand_controller_can_setup_data_iface(), which makes much more sense. 2020-05-11mtd: rawnand: Give the possibility to verify a read operation is supportedMiquel Raynal
This can be used to discriminate between two path in the parameter page detection: use data_in cycles (like before) if supported, use the CHANGE READ COLUMN command otherwise. 2020-03-30mtd: Convert fallthrough comments into statementsMiquel Raynal
Use Joe Perches cvt_fallthrough.pl script to convert /* fallthrough */ comments (and its derivatives) into a fallthrough; statement. This automatically drops useless ones. Do it MTD-wide. 2019-02-05mtd: rawnand: Annotate implicit fall through in nand_command/nand_command_lpMathieu Malaterre
There is a plan to build the kernel with -Wimplicit-fallthrough and these places in the code produced warnings (W=1). This commit removes the following warnings: drivers/mtd/nand/raw/nand_legacy.c:332:6: warning: this statement may fall through [-Wimplicit-fallthrough=] drivers/mtd/nand/raw/nand_legacy.c:483:3: warning: this statement may fall through [-Wimplicit-fallthrough=] Signed-off-by: Mathieu Malaterre <malat@debian.org> Signed-off-by: Miquel Raynal <miquel.raynal@bootlin.com>
2018-12-07mtd: rawnand: Move ->setup_data_interface() to nand_controller_opsBoris Brezillon
->setup_data_interface() is a controller specific method and should thus be placed in nand_controller_ops. In order to make that work with controllers that support keeping pre-configured timings we need to add a new NAND_KEEP_TIMINGS flag to inform the core it should skip the timings selection step. 2018-12-07mtd: rawnand: Move the ->exec_op() method to nand_controller_opsBoris Brezillon
->exec_op() is a controller method and has nothing to do in the nand_chip struct. Let's move it to the nand_controller_ops struct and adjust the core and drivers accordingly. 2018-12-07mtd: rawnand: Deprecate the ->select_chip() hookBoris Brezillon
Now that the CS line to be selected is passed to ->exec_op() and stored in chip->cur_cs and after patching all drivers implementing ->exec_op() to stop implementing this method, we can deprecate it by moving it to the nand_legacy structure. 2018-12-07mtd: rawnand: legacy: Drop useless test in nand_legacy_set_defaults()Boris Brezillon
