2019-06-17drm/i915: move modesetting core code under display/Jani Nikula
Now that we have a new subdirectory for display code, continue by moving modesetting core code. display/intel_frontbuffer.h sticks out like a sore thumb, otherwise this is, again, a surprisingly clean operation. v2: - don't move intel_sideband.[ch] (Ville) - use tabs for Makefile file lists and sort them Cc: Chris Wilson <chris@chris-wilson.co.uk> Cc: Joonas Lahtinen <joonas.lahtinen@linux.intel.com> Cc: Rodrigo Vivi <rodrigo.vivi@intel.com> Cc: Ville Syrjälä <ville.syrjala@linux.intel.com> Reviewed-by: Chris Wilson <chris@chris-wilson.co.uk> Acked-by: Rodrigo Vivi <rodrigo.vivi@intel.com> Acked-by: Maarten Lankhorst <maarten.lankhorst@linux.intel.com> Acked-by: Ville Syrjälä <ville.syrjala@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Jani Nikula <jani.nikula@intel.com> Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/20190613084416.6794-3-jani.nikula@intel.com
2019-04-30drm/i915: Enable pipe HDR mode on ICL if only HDR planes are usedVille Syrjälä
The pipe has a special HDR mode with higher precision when only HDR planes are active. Let's use it. Curiously this fixes the kms_color gamma/degamma tests when using a HDR plane, which is always the case unless one hacks the test to use an SDR plane. If one does hack the test to use an SDR plane it does pass already. I have no actual explanation how the output after the gamma LUT can be different between the two modes. The way the tests are written should mean that the output should be identical between the solid color vs. the gradient. But clearly that somehow doesn't hold true for the HDR planes in non-HDR pipe mode. Anyways, as long as we stick to one type of plane the test should produce sensible results now. v2: s/HDR_MODE/HDR_MODE_PRECISION/ (Shashank) Signed-off-by: Ville Syrjälä <ville.syrjala@linux.intel.com> Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/20190412183009.8237-2-ville.syrjala@linux.intel.com Reviewed-by: Uma Shankar <uma.shankar@intel.com> Tested-by: Uma Shankar <uma.shankar@intel.com> Reviewed-by: Shashank Sharma <shashank.sharma@intel.com>
2019-04-08drm/i915: extract intel_sprite.h from intel_drv.hJani Nikula
It used to be handy that we only had a couple of headers, but over time intel_drv.h has become unwieldy. Extract declarations to a separate header file corresponding to the implementation module, clarifying the modularity of the driver. Ensure the new header is self-contained, and do so with minimal further includes, using forward declarations as needed. Include the new header only where needed, and sort the modified include directives while at it and as needed. No functional changes.
