2015-01-29drm/i915/dsi: remove intel_dsi_cmd.c and the unused functions thereinJani Nikula
The removed functions can be resurrected in intel_dsi.c as need arises. Signed-off-by: Jani Nikula <jani.nikula@intel.com> Reviewed-By: Shobhit Kumar <shobhit.kumar@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch>

2015-01-29drm/i915/dsi: remove old read/write functions in favor of new stuffJani Nikula
All of these are replaced by the drm core mipi dsi functions. Signed-off-by: Jani Nikula <jani.nikula@intel.com> Reviewed-By: Shobhit Kumar <shobhit.kumar@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch>
2015-01-27drm/i915/dsi: move wait_for_dsi_fifo_empty to intel_dsi.cJani Nikula
wait_for_dsi_fifo_empty can be static in intel_dsi.c. No functional changes. Signed-off-by: Jani Nikula <jani.nikula@intel.com> Reviewed-By: Shobhit Kumar <shobhit.kumar@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch>
2015-01-27drm/i915/dsi: call dpi_send_cmd() for each dsi port at a higher levelJani Nikula
Instead of having the for each dsi port loop within dpi_send_cmd(), add a port parameter to the function and call it for each port instead. This is a rewrite of commit 4510cd779e5897eeb8691aecbd639bb62ec27d55 Author: Gaurav K Singh <gaurav.k.singh@intel.com> Date: Thu Dec 4 10:58:51 2014 +0530 drm/i915: Dual link needs Shutdown and Turn on packet for both ports to add more flexibility in using dpi_send_cmd() for just one port as necessary. No functional changes. Signed-off-by: Jani Nikula <jani.nikula@intel.com> Reviewed-By: Shobhit Kumar <shobhit.kumar@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch>
2014-12-05drm/i915: Dual link needs Shutdown and Turn on packet for both portsGaurav K Singh
For dual link MIPI panels, SHUTDOWN packet needs to send to both Ports A & C during MIPI encoder disabling sequence. Similarly, TURN ON packet to be sent to both Ports during MIPI encoder enabling sequence. v2: Address review comments by Jani - Used a for loop instead of do-while loop. v3: Used for_each_dsi_port macro instead of for loop Signed-off-by: Gaurav K Singh <gaurav.k.singh@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Shobhit Kumar <shobhit.kumar@intel.com> Reviewed-by: Jani Nikula <jani.nikula@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch>
2014-12-04drm/i915: Added port as parameter to the functions which does read/write of ↵Gaurav K Singh
DSI Controller This patch is in preparation of DSI dual link panels. For dual link panels, few packets needs to be sent to Port A or Port C or both. Based on the portno from MIPI Sequence Block#53, these sequences needs to be sent accordingly. v2: Addressed review comments by Jani - port variables named properly Signed-off-by: Gaurav K Singh <gaurav.k.singh@intel.com> Reviewed-by: Jani Nikula <jani.nikula@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch>
2014-12-03drm/i915/dsi: clean up MIPI DSI pipe vs. port usageJani Nikula
MIPI DSI works on ports A and C, which map to pipes A and B, respectively. Things are going to get more complicated with the introduction of dual link DSI support, so clean up the register defines and code to match reality. I'm not really that insisting on checkpath compliance, but ragged function paramter alignment does get me. Please adjust your editor to just do this for you. Cc: Shobhit Kumar <shobhit.kumar@intel.com> Cc: Imre Deak <imre.deak@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch>
2014-08-07drm/i915: wait for all DSI FIFOs to be emptyShobhit Kumar

2014-07-09drm/i915/vlv: DPI FIFO empty check is not neededShobhit Kumar
While sending DPI SHUTDOWN command, we cannot wait for FIFO empty as pipes are not disabled at that time. In case of MIPI we disable port first and send SHUTDOWN command while pipe is still running and FIFOs will not be empty, causing spurious error log Signed-off-by: Shobhit Kumar <shobhit.kumar@intel.com> Tested-by: Chris Wilson <chris@chris-wilson.co.uk> Signed-off-by: Jani Nikula <jani.nikula@intel.com>

2013-09-04drm/i915: add MIPI DSI command sending routinesJani Nikula
v2: Rebase due to register bit definition change. v3: Mostly based on Ville's review comments. - Use size_t for length all around. - Reuse dsi_vc_send_short in dsi_vc_send_long. - Remove stale/incorrect comments. - Reverse special packet sent interrupt check. - Use DSI controller regs for reading, not adapter.
