2011-10-31video: Add module.h to drivers/video files who really use it.Paul Gortmaker
They were getting this implicitly by an include of module.h from device.h -- but we are going to clean that up and break that include chain, so include module.h explicitly now. [ with contributions from Axel Lin <axel.lin@gmail.com> ] Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>
2011-06-10treewide: Convert uses of struct resource to resource_size(ptr)Joe Perches
Several fixes as well where the +1 was missing. Done via coccinelle scripts like: @@ struct resource *ptr; @@ - ptr->end - ptr->start + 1 + resource_size(ptr) and some grep and typing. Mostly uncompiled, no cross-compilers. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: Jiri Kosina <jkosina@suse.cz>
2010-05-03cocbalt_lcdfb: correct sectionsHenrik Kretzschmar
Since the drivers probe call was changed from .init.text to .devinit.text in commit c2e13037e6794bd0d9de3f9ecabf5615f15c160b the fb_fix_screeninfo structure must be changed from .init.data to .devinit.data, too. 2010-03-07platform-drivers: move probe to .devinit.text in drivers/videoUwe Kleine-König
A pointer to a probe callback is passed to the core via platform_driver_register and so the function must not disappear when the .init sections are discarded. Otherwise (if also having HOTPLUG=y) unbinding and binding a device to the driver via sysfs will result in an oops as does a device being registered late. An alternative to this patch is using platform_driver_probe instead of platform_driver_register plus removing the pointer to the probe function from the struct platform_driver.
