Refactor the pci1xxxx SPI driver to allow overlapping DMA read and
write operations across SPI transfers. This improves throughput and
reduces idle time between SPI transactions.
Transfer sequence:
- Start with a DMA read to load TX data from host to device buffer.
- After DMA read completes, trigger the SPI transfer.
- On SPI completion:
- Start DMA write to copy received data from RX buffer to host.
- Start the next DMA read to prepare TX data for the following transfer.
- Begin the next SPI transfer after both DMA write and read complete.
To implement this sequence, the following changes were made:
- Added dma_completion_count to track and synchronize DMA completions.
- Split DMA setup into separate functions for TX (read) and RX (write).
- Introduced separate spinlocks for safe access to RD and WR DMA registers.
This new flow enables efficient pipelining by overlapping data
preparation and completion stages, leading to better SPI transfer
performance and utilization of DMA engines.

Add support for dedicated DMA interrupt vectors for each SPI hardware
instance in the pci1xxxx driver. This improves scalability and interrupt
handling for systems using multiple SPI instances with DMA.
Introduce a constant `NUM_VEC_PER_INST` to define the number of IRQ
vectors per instance (main, DMA write, DMA read). Update the
`pci1xxxx_spi_internal` structure to use an IRQ array.
Refactor IRQ allocation and DMA initialization logic:
- Assign separate IRQ vectors for DMA read and write interrupts.
- Split the original DMA ISR into two handlers:
`pci1xxxx_spi_isr_dma_rd` and `pci1xxxx_spi_isr_dma_wr`.
- Configure IMWR registers per instance using cached MSI data.
- Move DMA register configuration into a new helper function,
`pci1xxxx_spi_dma_config()`.
Invoke the DMA initialization after all instances are configured to
ensure correct IRQ vector mapping.

Merge series from Conor Dooley <conor@kernel.org>:
This is a v2 of a patchset I sent about this time last year, adding the
regular transfer_one_message op to the microchip-core-qspi driver. In that
v1 Mark expressed his dislike for that op, so v2 is using
prepare/unprepare/transfer_one instead. The unprepare implementation still
contains the 750 us delay that the driver had back in v1. I've heard a
suggestion internally as to why this is needed, but it was unsubstantiated,
so I still have no justification for it. I held off on sending a v2 because
of a lack of explanation for the delay, but I don't wanna hold off forever
for something I might never understand.

Fixes a probe failure that occurs when dual SPI controllers are
enabled and INTx interrupts are used. Reduces the minimum required
number of interrupt vectors to 1 and registers a shared ISR when
the allocated vectors are fewer than the number of controllers.
This change ensures that the probe succeeds even with limited
vectors, restoring INTx functionality when multiple SPI
controllers are present.

pci1xxxx enables its PCI device with pcim_enable_device(). This,
implicitly, switches the function pci_request_regions() into managed
mode, where it becomes a devres function.
The PCI subsystem wants to remove this hybrid nature from its
interfaces. To do so, users of the aforementioned combination of
functions must be ported to non-hybrid functions.
Moreover, since both functions are already managed in this driver, the
call to pci_release_regions() is unnecessary.
Remove the call to pci_release_regions().
Replace the call to sometimes-managed pci_request_regions() with one to
the always-managed pcim_request_all_regions().

In function pci1xxxx_spi_probe, there is a potential null pointer that
may be caused by a failed memory allocation by the function devm_kzalloc.
Hence, a null pointer check needs to be added to prevent null pointer
dereferencing later in the code.
To fix this issue, spi_bus->spi_int[iter] should be checked. The memory
allocated by devm_kzalloc will be automatically released, so just directly
return -ENOMEM without worrying about memory leaks.

pci1xxxx_spi_transfer_with_dma adds DMA support to copy the data between
host cpu buffer and SPI IO Buffer.
On DMA Completion interrupt, the next SPI transaction is initiated in isr.
Helper functions pci1xxxx_spi_setup, pci1xxxx_spi_setup_dma_from_io,
pci1xxxx_spi_setup_dma_to_io and pci1xxxx_start_spi_xfer are added for
setting up spi, setting up dma operations, and to start spi transfer
respectively. In the existing implementation, codes are replaced with
helper functions wherever applicable.

In PCI1xxxx C0, support for DMA in PCIe endpoint is added
to enhance the SPI performance. With this support, the
performance is improved from 6Mbps to 17Mbps with 20Mhz clock.
- DMA Supports two Channels, 0 and 1
- SPI Instance 0 uses chan 0 and SPI Instance 1 uses chan 1
- DMA can be used only if SPI is mapped to PF0 in the multi
function endpoint and the MSI interrupt is supported
- MSI interrupt of one of the SPI instance is assigned to the DMA
and both channels 0 and 1 share the same irq, the MSI address and
MSI Data of the irq is obtained and stored in DMA registers to
generate interrupt

Prepare for the coming implementation by GCC and Clang of the __counted_by
attribute. Flexible array members annotated with __counted_by can have
their accesses bounds-checked at run-time checking via CONFIG_UBSAN_BOUNDS
(for array indexing) and CONFIG_FORTIFY_SOURCE (for strcpy/memcpy-family
functions).
As found with Coccinelle[1], add __counted_by for struct pci1xxxx_spi.

Supporting multi-cs in spi drivers would require the chip_select & cs_gpiod
members of struct spi_device to be an array. But changing the type of these
members to array would break the spi driver functionality. To make the
transition smoother introduced four new APIs to get/set the
spi->chip_select & spi->cs_gpiod and replaced all spi->chip_select and
spi->cs_gpiod references with get or set API calls.
While adding multi-cs support in further patches the chip_select & cs_gpiod
members of the spi_device structure would be converted to arrays & the
"idx" parameter of the APIs would be used as array index i.e.,
spi->chip_select[idx] & spi->cs_gpiod[idx] respectively.

Microchip pci1xxxx is a PCIe switch with a multi-function endpoint on one of its
downstream ports. SPI is one of the functions in the multi-function endpoint. This
function has 2 SPI masters, operates at a maximum frequency of 30 MHz and supports
7 client devices per master. This patch adds complete functionality to the SPI
function except for suspend and resume.
