Extend the USB+DP combo QMP PHY driver to support the SAR2130P platform.
It mosly follows the SM8550 QMP PHY, but the QSERDES programming
differs, most likely because of the parent clock rate differences.
NOTE: The DP part wasn't yet tested, but it is not possible to support
just the USB part of the PHY. DP part might require additional fixes
later.

Commit 44aff8e31080 ("phy: qcom-qmp-combo: clean up probe
initialisation") removed most users of the platform device driver data,
but mistakenly also removed the initialisation despite the data still
being used in the runtime PM callbacks.
The initialisation was soon after restored by commit 83a0bbe39b17 ("phy:
qcom-qmp-combo: add support for updated sc8280xp binding") but now
happens slightly later during probe. This should not cause any trouble
currently as runtime PM needs to be enabled manually through sysfs and
the platform device would not be suspended before the PHY has been
registered anyway.
Move the driver data initialisation to avoid a NULL-pointer dereference
on runtime suspend if runtime PM is ever enabled by default in this
driver.

Currently, none of the X1E80100 supported boards upstream have enabled
DP. As for USB, the reason it is not broken when it's obvious that the
offsets are wrong is because the only difference with respect to USB is
the difference in register name. The V6 uses QPHY_V6_PCS_CDR_RESET_TIME
while V6 N4 uses QPHY_V6_N4_PCS_RX_CONFIG. Now, in order for the DP to
work, the DP serdes tables need to be added as they have different
values for V6 N4 when compared to V6 ones, even though they use the same
V6 offsets. While at it, switch swing and pre-emphasis tables to V6 as
well.

Commit 5abed58a8bde ("phy: qcom: qmp-combo: Fix VCO div offset on v3")
fixed a regression introduced in 6.5 by making sure that the correct
offset is used for the DP_PHY_VCO_DIV register on v3 hardware.
Unfortunately, that fix instead broke DisplayPort on v5_5nm and v6
hardware as it failed to add the corresponding offsets also to those
register tables.

This brings rockchip,pcie3-phy changes into next which incoming patches
are dependent on
|
|
The register base that was used to write to the QSERDES_DP_PHY_MODE
register was 'dp_dp_phy' before commit 815891eee668 ("phy:
qcom-qmp-combo: Introduce orientation variable"). There isn't any
explanation in the commit why this is changed, so I suspect it was an
oversight or happened while being extracted from some other series.
Oddly the value being 0x4c or 0x5c doesn't seem to matter for me, so I
suspect this is dead code, but that can be fixed in another patch. It's
not good to write to the wrong register space, and maybe some other
version of this phy relies on this.

Commit ec17373aebd0 ("phy: qcom: qmp-combo: extract common function to
setup clocks") changed the offset that is used to write to
DP_PHY_VCO_DIV from QSERDES_V3_DP_PHY_VCO_DIV to
QSERDES_V4_DP_PHY_VCO_DIV. Unfortunately, this offset is different
between v3 and v4 phys:
#define QSERDES_V3_DP_PHY_VCO_DIV 0x064
#define QSERDES_V4_DP_PHY_VCO_DIV 0x070
meaning that we write the wrong register on v3 phys now. Add another
generic register to 'regs' and use it here instead of a version specific
define to fix this.
This was discovered after Abhinav looked over register dumps with me
from sc7180 Trogdor devices that started failing to light up the
external display with v6.6 based kernels. It turns out that some
monitors are very specific about their link clk frequency and if the
default power on reset value is still there the monitor will show a
blank screen or a garbled display. Other monitors are perfectly happy to
get a bad clock signal.

Due to a long-standing issue in driver core, drivers may not probe defer
after having registered child devices to avoid triggering a probe
deferral loop (see fbc35b45f9f6 ("Add documentation on meaning of
-EPROBE_DEFER")).
Move registration of the typec switch to after looking up clocks and
other resources.
Note that PHY creation can in theory also trigger a probe deferral when
a 'phy' supply is used. This does not seem to affect the QMP PHY driver
but the PHY subsystem should be reworked to address this (i.e. by
separating initialisation and registration of the PHY).

after having registered child devices to avoid triggering a probe
deferral loop (see fbc35b45f9f6 ("Add documentation on meaning of

This could potentially also trigger a bug in the DRM bridge

During rebase of qcom-qmp-combo series a call to devm_clk_bulk_get_all()
got moved by git from qmp_combo_parse_dt_legacy() to
phy_dp_clks_register(). This doesn't have any serious effect, since the
clocks will be set in both legacy and non-legacy paths. However let's
move it back to place anyway, to prevent the driver from fetching clocks
twice.

The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate
of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus.
As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they
"temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h
and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include
files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and
replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to
explicitly include the correct includes.

It seems the commit a2e927b0e50d ("phy: qcom-qmp-combo: Add sc8280xp

First, bias0_en and bias1_en are expected to be symmetrical, and then
the vendor driver also uses `flipped : 0x3E : 0x15` statement for
bias0_en. Correct bias0_en programming to follow this.

The QMP combo PHY sits in an of_graph connected between the DisplayPort
controller and a USB Type-C connector (or possibly a redriver).
The TCPM needs to be able to convey the HPD signal to the DisplayPort
controller, but no directly link is provided by DeviceTree so the signal
needs to "pass through" the QMP combo phy.
Handle this by introducing a drm_bridge which upon initialization finds
the next bridge (i.e. the usb-c-connector) and chain this together. This
way HPD changes in the connector will propagate to the DisplayPort
driver.
The connector bridge is resolved lazily, as the TCPM is expected to be
able to resolve the typec mux and switch at probe time, so the QMP combo
phy will probe before the TCPM.

The data lanes of the QMP PHY is swapped in order to handle changing
orientation of the USB Type-C cable. Register a typec_switch device to
allow a TCPM to configure the orientation.
The newly introduced orientation variable is adjusted based on the
request, and the initialized components are brought down and up again.
To keep track of what parts needs to be cycled new variables to keep
track of the individual init_count is introduced.
Both the USB and the DisplayPort altmode signals are properly switched.
For DisplayPort the controller will after the TCPM having established
orientation power on the PHY, so this is not done implicitly, but for
USB the PHY typically is kept initialized across the switch, and must
therefore then be reinitialized.
This is based on initial work by Wesley Cheng.

In multiple places throughout the driver code has been written in
prepration for handling of orientation switching.
Introduce a typec_orientation in qmp_combo and fill out the various
"placeholders" with the associated logic. By initializing the
orientation to "normal" this change has no functional impact, but
reduces the size of the upcoming introduction of dynamic orientation
