2025-01-14wifi: mt76: mt7925: add handler to hif suspend/resume eventQuan Zhou
When the system suspend or resume, the WiFi driver sends an hif_ctrl command to the firmware and waits for an event. Due to changes in the event format reported by the chip, the current mt7925's driver does not account for these changes, resulting in command timeout. Add flow to handle hif_ctrl event to avoid command timeout. We also exented API mt76_connac_mcu_set_hif_suspend for connac3 this time. 2024-09-06wifi: mt76: Avoid multiple -Wflex-array-member-not-at-end warningsGustavo A. R. Silva
-Wflex-array-member-not-at-end was introduced in GCC-14, and we are getting ready to enable it, globally. So, in order to avoid ending up with a flexible-array member in the middle of multiple other structs, we use the `struct_group_tagged()` helper to create a new tagged `struct mt76_connac2_mcu_rxd_hdr`. This structure groups together all the members of the flexible `struct mt76_connac2_mcu_rxd` except the flexible array. As a result, the array is effectively separated from the rest of the members without modifying the memory layout of the flexible structure. We then change the type of the middle struct members currently causing trouble from `struct mt76_connac2_mcu_rxd` to `struct mt76_connac2_mcu_rxd_hdr`. We also want to ensure that when new members need to be added to the flexible structure, they are always included within the newly created tagged struct. For this, we use `static_assert()`. This ensures that the memory layout for both the flexible structure and the new tagged struct is the same after any changes. This approach avoids having to implement `struct mt76_connac2_mcu_rxd_hdr` as a completely separate structure, thus preventing having to maintain two independent but basically identical structures, closing the door to potential bugs in the future. When in suspend mode, WoW (Wake-on-WLAN) fails to wake the system remotely due to incorrect encryption mode settings. For the new mt7925 chipset, the old STA_REC_KEY_V2 command will send incorrect parameters to the firmware. Therefore, STA_REC_KEY_V3 has been introduced as a replacement for it. The clc event can report the radio configuration for the corresponding country and the driver would take it as regulatory information of a certain platform device. This patch would change the clc commnad from no-waiting to waiting for event. 2023-07-25wifi: mt76: mt7915: rework tx packets counting when WED is activePeter Chiu
PPDU TxS can only report MPDU count whereas mac80211 requires MSDU scale (NL80211_STA_INFO_TX_PACKETS), so switch to get MSDU counts from WA statistic. Note that mt7915 WA firmware only counts tx_packet for WED path, so driver needs to take care of host path additionally.
