2020-10-28misc: mic: remove the MIC driversSudeep Dutt
This patch removes the MIC drivers from the kernel tree since the corresponding devices have been discontinued. Removing the dma and char-misc changes in one patch and merging via the char-misc tree is best to avoid any potential build breakage. 2020-10-06dma-mapping: split <linux/dma-mapping.h>Christoph Hellwig
Split out all the bits that are purely for dma_map_ops implementations and related code into a new <linux/dma-map-ops.h> header so that they don't get pulled into all the drivers. That also means the architecture specific <asm/dma-mapping.h> is not pulled in by <linux/dma-mapping.h> any more, which leads to a missing includes that were pulled in by the x86 or arm versions in a few not overly portable drivers. 2017-01-24treewide: Move dma_ops from struct dev_archdata into struct deviceBart Van Assche
Some but not all architectures provide set_dma_ops(). Move dma_ops from struct dev_archdata into struct device such that it becomes possible on all architectures to configure dma_ops per device. 2015-10-04misc: mic: Remove COSM functionality from the MIC card driverAshutosh Dixit
Since card side COSM functionality, to trigger MIC device shutdowns and communicate shutdown status to the host, is now moved into a separate COSM client driver, this patch removes this functionality from the base MIC card driver. The mic_bus driver is also updated to use the device index provided by COSM rather than maintain its own device index. 2014-07-11misc: mic: add a bus driver for virtual MIC devicesSudeep Dutt
This MIC virtual bus driver takes the responsibility of creating all the virtual devices connected to the PCIe device on the host and the platform device on the card. The MIC bus hardware operations provide a way to abstract certain hardware details from the base physical devices. Examples of devices added on the MIC virtual bus include host DMA and card DMA. This abstraction enables using a common DMA driver on host and card.
