2025-05-15dm vdo indexer: don't read request structure after enqueuingMatthew Sakai
The function get_volume_page_protected may place a request on a queue for another thread to process asynchronously. When this happens, the volume should not read the request from the original thread. This can not currently cause problems, due to the way request processing is handled, but it is not safe in general. 2025-02-25dm vdo indexer: reorder uds_request to reduce paddingKen Raeburn
Reorder fields and make uds_request_type and uds_zone_message packed, to squeeze out some space. Use struct_group so the request reset code no longer needs to care about field order. On x86_64 this reduces the struct size from 144 to 120, which saves 48 kB (about 12%) per VDO hash zone.
