2024-10-02move asm/unaligned.h to linux/unaligned.hAl Viro
asm/unaligned.h is always an include of asm-generic/unaligned.h; might as well move that thing to linux/unaligned.h and include that - there's nothing arch-specific in that header. auto-generated by the following: for i in `git grep -l -w asm/unaligned.h`; do sed -i -e "s/asm\/unaligned.h/linux\/unaligned.h/" $i done for i in `git grep -l -w asm-generic/unaligned.h`; do sed -i -e "s/asm-generic\/unaligned.h/linux\/unaligned.h/" $i done git mv include/asm-generic/unaligned.h include/linux/unaligned.h git mv tools/include/asm-generic/unaligned.h tools/include/linux/unaligned.h sed -i -e "/unaligned.h/d" include/asm-generic/Kbuild sed -i -e "s/__ASM_GENERIC/__LINUX/" include/linux/unaligned.h tools/include/linux/unaligned.h
2024-08-05Input: ilitek_ts_i2c - stop including gpio.hDmitry Torokhov
The driver does not use legacy GPIO API, stop including this header. Reviewed-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/ZrAaHWNvaAfDlDfI@google.com Signed-off-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com>
2024-08-05Input: ilitek_ts_i2c - add report id message validationEmanuele Ghidoli
Ensure that the touchscreen response has correct "report id" byte before processing the touch data and discard other messages. 2024-08-05Input: ilitek_ts_i2c - avoid wrong input subsystem syncEmanuele Ghidoli
For different reasons i2c transaction may fail or report id in the message may be wrong. Avoid closing the frame in this case as it will result in all contacts being dropped, indicating that nothing is touching the screen anymore, while usually it is not the case. 2024-05-13Input: drop explicit initialization of struct i2c_device_id::driver_data to 0Uwe Kleine-König
These drivers don't use the driver_data member of struct i2c_device_id, so don't explicitly initialize this member. This prepares putting driver_data in an anonymous union which requires either no initialization or named designators. But it's also a nice cleanup on its own. While add it, also remove commas after the sentinel entries. 2023-12-13Input: touchscreen - use sysfs_emit[_at]() instead of scnprintf()ye xingchen
Follow the advice of the Documentation/filesystems/sysfs.rst and show() should only use sysfs_emit() or sysfs_emit_at() when formatting the value to be returned to user space. attributes Instead of creating driver-specific device attributes with devm_device_add_group() have device core do this by setting up dev_groups pointer in the driver structure. 2023-05-17Input: Switch i2c drivers back to use .probe()Uwe Kleine-König
After commit b8a1a4cd5a98 ("i2c: Provide a temporary .probe_new() call-back type"), all drivers being converted to .probe_new() and then 03c835f498b5 ("i2c: Switch .probe() to not take an id parameter") convert back to (the new) .probe() to be able to eventually drop .probe_new() from struct i2c_driver. 2023-01-09Input: ilitek_ts_i2c - switch to DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() and pm_sleep_ptr()Jonathan Cameron
SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() is deprecated as it requires explicit protection against unused function warnings. The new combination of pm_sleep_ptr() and DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() allows the compiler to see the functions, thus suppressing the warning, but still allowing the unused code to be removed. Thus also drop the __maybe_unused markings.
