2025-06-17sysfs: treewide: switch back to attribute_group::bin_attrsThomas Weißschuh
The normal bin_attrs field can now handle const pointers. This makes the _new variant unnecessary. Switch all users back. 2025-03-10Input: goodix_berlin - add support for Berlin-A seriesJens Reidel
The current implementation of the goodix_berlin driver lacks support for revisions A and B of the Berlin IC. This change adds support for the gt9897 IC, which is a Berlin-A revision part. The differences between revision D and A are rather minor, a handful of address changes and a slightly larger read buffer. They were taken from the driver published by Goodix, which does a few more things that don't appear to be necessary for the touchscreen to work properly. 2025-02-24Input: goodix-berlin - fix vddio regulator referencesLuca Weiss
As per dt-bindings the property is called vddio-supply, so use the correct name in the driver instead of iovdd. The datasheet also calls the supply 'VDDIO'. In the statement above AVDD gets enabled, and not IOVDD, so fix this copy-paste mistake. The sysfs core now allows instances of 'struct bin_attribute' to be moved into read-only memory. Make use of that to protect them against accidental or malicious modifications. registers Export a sysfs interface that would allow reading and writing touchscreen IC registers. With this interface many things can be done in usersapce such as firmware updates. An example tool that utilizes this interface for performing firmware updates can be found at [1]. 2024-01-30Input: add core support for Goodix Berlin Touchscreen ICNeil Armstrong
Add initial support for the new Goodix "Berlin" touchscreen ICs. These touchscreen ICs support SPI, I2C and I3C interface, up to 10 finger touch, stylus and gestures events. This initial driver is derived from the Goodix goodix_ts_berlin available at [1] and [2] and only supports the GT9916 IC present on the Qualcomm SM8550 MTP & QRD touch panel. The current implementation only supports BerlinD, aka GT9916. Support for advanced features like: - Firmware & config update - Stylus events - Gestures events - Previous revisions support (BerlinA or BerlinB) is not included in current version. The current support will work with currently flashed firmware and config, and bail out if firmware or config aren't flashed yet.
