2024-10-03Input: da7280 - use guard notation when acquiring mutex and spinlockDmitry Torokhov
Using guard notation makes the code more compact and error handling more robust by ensuring that locks are released in all code paths when control leaves critical section. 2023-12-20pwm: Rename pwm_apply_state() to pwm_apply_might_sleep()Sean Young
In order to introduce a pwm api which can be used from atomic context, we will need two functions for applying pwm changes: int pwm_apply_might_sleep(struct pwm *, struct pwm_state *); int pwm_apply_atomic(struct pwm *, struct pwm_state *); This commit just deals with renaming pwm_apply_state(), a following commit will introduce the pwm_apply_atomic() function. 2023-05-17Input: Switch i2c drivers back to use .probe()Uwe Kleine-König
After commit b8a1a4cd5a98 ("i2c: Provide a temporary .probe_new() call-back type"), all drivers being converted to .probe_new() and then 03c835f498b5 ("i2c: Switch .probe() to not take an id parameter") convert back to (the new) .probe() to be able to eventually drop .probe_new() from struct i2c_driver. 2023-01-09Input: da7280 - switch to DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() and pm_sleep_ptr()Jonathan Cameron
SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() is deprecated as it requires explicit protection against unused function warnings. The new combination of pm_sleep_ptr() and DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() allows the compiler to see the functions, thus suppressing the warning, but still allowing the unused code to be removed. Thus also drop the __maybe_unused markings.
