2025-06-26iio: light: apds9306: Refactor threshold get/set functions to use helperNattan Ferreira
Refactor the apds9306_event_thresh_get() and apds9306_event_thresh_set() functions to use a helper function (apds9306_get_thresh_reg()) for obtaining the correct register based on the direction of the event. This improves code readability and maintains consistency in accessing threshold registers. 2025-02-03iio: light: apds9306: fix max_scale_nano valuesJavier Carrasco
The two provided max_scale_nano values must be multiplied by 100 and 10 respectively to achieve nano units. According to the comments: Max scale for apds0306 is 16.326432 → the fractional part is 0.326432, which is 326432000 in NANO. The current value is 3264320. Max scale for apds0306-065 is 14.09721 → the fractional part is 0.09712, which is 97120000 in NANO. The current value is 9712000. Update max_scale_nano initialization to use the right NANO fractional parts. 2024-12-02module: Convert symbol namespace to string literalPeter Zijlstra
Clean up the existing export namespace code along the same lines of commit 33def8498fdd ("treewide: Convert macro and uses of __section(foo) to __section("foo")") and for the same reason, it is not desired for the namespace argument to be a macro expansion itself. 2024-11-03iio: fix write_event_config signatureJulien Stephan
write_event_config callback use an int for state, but it is actually a boolean. iio_ev_state_store is actually using kstrtobool to check user input, then gives the converted boolean value to write_event_config. Fix signature and update all iio drivers to use the new signature. This patch has been partially written using coccinelle with the following script: $ cat iio-bool.cocci // Options: --all-includes virtual patch @c1@ identifier iioinfo; identifier wecfunc; @@ static const struct iio_info iioinfo = { ..., .write_event_config = ( wecfunc | &wecfunc ), ..., }; @@ identifier c1.wecfunc; identifier indio_dev, chan, type, dir, state; @@ int wecfunc(struct iio_dev *indio_dev, const struct iio_chan_spec *chan, enum iio_event_type type, enum iio_event_direction dir, -int +bool state) { ... } make coccicheck MODE=patch COCCI=iio-bool.cocci M=drivers/iio Unfortunately, this script didn't match all files: * all write_event_config callbacks using iio_device_claim_direct_scoped were not detected and not patched. * all files that do not assign and declare the write_event_config callback in the same file. iio.h was also manually updated. The patch was build tested using allmodconfig config. cc: Julia Lawall <julia.lawall@inria.fr> Signed-off-by: Julien Stephan <jstephan@baylibre.com> Link: https://patch.msgid.link/20241031-iio-fix-write-event-config-signature-v2-7-2bcacbb517a2@baylibre.com Signed-off-by: Jonathan Cameron <Jonathan.Cameron@huawei.com>

2024-03-25iio: light: Add support for APDS9306 Light SensorSubhajit Ghosh
Driver support for Avago (Broadcom) APDS9306 Ambient Light Sensor. It has two channels - ALS and CLEAR. The ALS (Ambient Light Sensor) channel approximates the response of the human-eye providing direct read out where the output count is proportional to ambient light levels. It is internally temperature compensated and rejects 50Hz and 60Hz flicker caused by artificial light sources. Hardware interrupt configuration is optional. It is a low power device with 20 bit resolution and has configurable adaptive interrupt mode and interrupt persistence mode. The device also features inbuilt hardware gain, multiple integration time selection options and sampling frequency selection options. This driver also uses the IIO GTS (Gain Time Scale) Helpers Namespace for Scales, Gains and Integration time implementation.
