2023-05-24drm: shmobile: Add support for DRM_FORMAT_XRGB8888Geert Uytterhoeven
DRM_FORMAT_XRGB8888 aka XR24 is the modus francus of DRM, and should be supported by all drivers. The handling for DRM_FORMAT_XRGB8888 is similar to DRM_FORMAT_ARGB8888, just ignore the alpha channel. Open-code drm_plane_init() and remove the function from DRM. The implementation of drm_plane_init() is a simple wrapper around a call to drm_universal_plane_init(), so drivers can just use that instead. 2022-08-03drm/gem: rename struct drm_gem_dma_object.{paddr => dma_addr}Danilo Krummrich
The field paddr of struct drm_gem_dma_object holds a DMA address, which might actually be a physical address. However, depending on the platform, it can also be a bus address or a virtual address managed by an IOMMU. Hence, rename the field to dma_addr, which is more applicable. Rename "GEM CMA" helpers to "GEM DMA" helpers - considering the hierarchy of APIs (mm/cma -> dma -> gem dma) calling them "GEM DMA" seems to be more applicable. Besides that, commit e57924d4ae80 ("drm/doc: Task to rename CMA helpers") requests to rename the CMA helpers and implies that people seem to be confused about the naming. 2022-06-20drm: Drop drm_framebuffer.h from drm_crtc.hVille Syrjälä
drm_crtc.h has no need for drm_frambuffer.h, so don't include it. Avoids useless rebuilds of the entire universe when touching drm_framebuffer.h. Quite a few placs do currently depend on drm_framebuffer.h without actually including it directly. 2012-09-18drm: Renesas SH Mobile DRM driverLaurent Pinchart
The SH Mobile LCD controller (LCDC) DRM driver supports the main graphics plane in RGB and YUV formats, as well as the overlay planes (in alpha-blending mode only). Only flat panel outputs using the parallel interface are supported. Support for SYS panels, HDMI and DSI is currently not implemented.
