The DSI device for the panel was registered by the DSI host, so it is an error to unregister it from the panel driver. Drop the call to mipi_dsi_device_unregister(). 2023-09-13drm/panel: Don't store+check prepared/enabled for simple casesDouglas Anderson
As talked about in commit d2aacaf07395 ("drm/panel: Check for already prepared/enabled in drm_panel"), we want to remove needless code from panel drivers that was storing and double-checking the prepared/enabled state. Even if someone was relying on the double-check before, that double-check is now in the core and not needed in individual drivers. This pile of panel drivers appears to be simple to handle. Based on code inspection they seemed to be using the prepared/enabled state simply for double-checking that nothing else in the kernel called them inconsistently. Now that the core drm_panel is doing the double checking (and warning) it should be very clear that these devices don't need their own double-check. 2023-07-21drm: Explicitly include correct DT includesRob Herring
The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus. As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they "temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to explicitly include the correct includes. 2022-07-09drm/mipi-dsi: Make remove callback return voidUwe Kleine-König
All implementations return 0 and the return value of mipi_dsi_drv_remove() is ignored anyhow. So change the prototype of the remove function to return no value. This way driver authors are not tempted to assume that passing an error to the upper layer is a good idea. All drivers are adapted accordingly. There is no intended change of behaviour.
