2025-05-19drm/nouveau: improve handling of 64-bit BARsBen Skeggs
GPUs exist now with a 64-bit BAR0, which mean that BAR1 and BAR2's indices (as passed to pci_resource_len() etc) are bumped up by one. Modify nvkm_device.resource_addr/size() to take an enum instead of an integer bar index, and take IORESOURCE_MEM_64 into account when translating to the "raw" bar id. 2023-06-07drm/nouveau: stop using is_swiotlb_activeChristoph Hellwig
Drivers have no business looking into dma-mapping internals and check what backend is used. Unfortunstely the DRM core is still broken and tries to do plain page allocations instead of using DMA API allocators by default and uses various bandaids on when to use dma_alloc_coherent. Switch nouveau to use the same (broken) scheme as amdgpu and radeon to remove the last driver user of is_swiotlb_active. 2021-05-26drm/nouveau: Implement mmap as GEM object functionThomas Zimmermann
Moving the driver-specific mmap code into a GEM object function allows for using DRM helpers for various mmap callbacks. The GEM object function is provided by GEM TTM helpers. Nouveau's implementation of verify_access is unused and has been removed. Access permissions are validated by the DRM helpers. As a side effect, nouveau_ttm_vm_ops and nouveau_ttm_fault() are now implemented in nouveau's GEM code. Rename the embedded struct vma_offset_manager, new name is _vma_manager. ttm_bo_device.vma_manager changed to a pointer. The ttm_bo_device_init() function gets an additional vma_manager argument which allows to initialize ttm with a different vma manager. When passing NULL the embedded _vma_manager is used. All callers are updated to pass NULL, so the behavior doesn't change. 2018-11-05drm/ttm: use a static ttm_mem_global instanceChristian König
As the name says we only need one global instance of ttm_mem_global. Drop all the driver initialization and just use a single exported instance which is initialized during BO global initialization. 2018-11-05drm/ttm: Rename ttm_bo_global_{init,release}() to ttm_bo_global_ref_{,}()Thomas Zimmermann
The functions ttm_bo_global_init() and ttm_bo_global_release() do not receive an argument of type struct ttm_bo_global. Both take a struct drm_global_reference that contains points to a struct ttm_bo_global_ref. Renaming them reflects this.
