2021-04-07drm/msm/dsi: fuse dsi_pll_* code into dsi_phy_* codeDmitry Baryshkov
Each phy version is tightly coupled with the corresponding PLL code, there is no need to keep them separate. Fuse source files together in order to simplify DSI code. 2021-02-01drm/msm/dsi_pll_10nm: Convert pr_err prints to DRM_DEV_ERRORAngeloGioacchino Del Regno
DRM_DEV_ERROR should be used across this entire source: convert the pr_err prints to the first as a cleanup. Signed-off-by: AngeloGioacchino Del Regno <angelogioacchino.delregno@somainline.org> Signed-off-by: Rob Clark <robdclark@chromium.org>
2021-02-01drm/msm/dsi_pll_10nm: Fix variable usage for pll_lockdet_rateAngeloGioacchino Del Regno
The PLL_LOCKDET_RATE_1 was being programmed with a hardcoded value directly, but the same value was also being specified in the dsi_pll_regs struct pll_lockdet_rate variable: let's use it! 2021-02-01drm/msm/dsi_pll_10nm: Solve TODO for multiplier frac_bits assignmentAngeloGioacchino Del Regno
The number of fractional registers bits is known and already set in the frac_bits variable of the dsi_pll_config struct here in 10nm: remove the TODO by simply using that variable. 2021-02-01drm/msm/dsi_pll_10nm: Fix dividing the same numbers twiceAngeloGioacchino Del Regno
In function dsi_pll_calc_dec_frac we are calculating the decimal div start parameter by dividing the decimal multiple by the fractional multiplier: the remainder of that operation is stored to then get programmed to the fractional divider registers of the PLL. It's useless to call div_u64_rem to get the remainder and *then* call div_u64 to get the division result, as the first is already giving that result: let's fix it by just caring about the result of div_u64_rem. 2020-11-04drm/msm/dsi_pll_10nm: restore VCO rate during restore_stateDmitry Baryshkov
PHY disable/enable resets PLL registers to default values. Thus in addition to restoring several registers we also need to restore VCO rate settings. 2020-02-13drm/msm/dsi/pll: call vco set rate explicitlyHarigovindan P
For a given byte clock, if VCO recalc value is exactly same as vco set rate value, vco_set_rate does not get called assuming VCO is already set to required value. But Due to GDSC toggle, VCO values are erased in the HW. To make sure VCO is programmed correctly, we forcefully call set_rate from vco_prepare. 2020-01-06clk: mux: Add support for specifying parents via DT/pointersStephen Boyd
After commit fc0c209c147f ("clk: Allow parents to be specified without string names") we can use DT or direct clk_hw pointers to specify parents. Create a generic function that shouldn't be used very often to encode the multitude of ways of registering a mux clk with different parent information. Then add a bunch of wrapper macros that only pass down what needs to be passed down to the generic function to support this with less arguments. Note: the msm drm driver passes an anonymous array through the macro which seems to confuse my compiler. Adding a parenthesis around the whole thing at the call site seems to fix it but it must be wrong. Maybe it's better to split this patch and pick out the array bits there? 2019-06-20drm/msm/dsi_pll_10nm: Release clk hw on destroy and failureSean Paul
The 10nm pll driver didn't have any failure-path cleanup in register, and the destroy function didn't unregister any of the hardware. This patch adds both. The reason things haven't been blowing up horribly is that msm_drv has a reference count issue that keeps devices alive, so the destroy function was never called. That will be fixed in a follow-up patch. 2018-02-20drm/msm/dsi: Populate PLL 10nm clock opsArchit Taneja
Populate PLL clock ops from downstream. This contains the VCO PLL ops and the registration of standard clk_divider and clk_mux clocks. Unlike 14nm PLL, the postdividers/mux of the slave PLL doesn't need to be set to the same values of the postdivs/mux of the master PLL. Hence, we don't need special postdivider clock ops like we did with the 14nm PLL driver. Like the previous PLL drivers, the implementation is slightly different from downstream. We don't use shadow clocks, but have the ability to reparent the RCGs to a different source. Signed-off-by: Archit Taneja <architt@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: Rob Clark <robdclark@gmail.com>
