2025-03-25drm/display: dp: change drm_dp_dpcd_read_link_status() return valueDmitry Baryshkov
drm_dp_dpcd_read_link_status() follows the "return error code or number of bytes read" protocol, with the code returning less bytes than requested in case of some errors. However most of the drivers interpreted that as "return error code in case of any error". Switch drm_dp_dpcd_read_link_status() to drm_dp_dpcd_read_data() and make it follow that protocol too. 2024-10-31drm/msm/dp: prefix all symbols with msm_dp_Dmitry Baryshkov
For historical reasons a lot of symbols in the MSM DisplayPort driver used the generic dp_ prefix. Perform a mass-rename of those symbols to use msm_dp prefix. Basically this is a result of the following script: sed drivers/gpu/drm/msm/dp/* -i -e 's/\<dp_/msm_dp_/g' sed drivers/gpu/drm/msm/dp/* -i -e 's/"msm_dp_/"dp_/g' sed drivers/gpu/drm/msm/dp/* -i -e 's/msm_\(dp_sdp_header\|dp_sdp\)\>/\1/g' Yes, this also results in renaming of several struct fields in addition to renaming the structs and functions, but I think the simple solution is better than the more complex one. 2024-04-08drm/msm/dp: allow voltage swing / pre emphasis of 3Dmitry Baryshkov

2024-01-24drm/msm/dp: return correct Colorimetry for DP_TEST_DYNAMIC_RANGE_CEA caseKuogee Hsieh
MSA MISC0 bit 1 to 7 contains Colorimetry Indicator Field. dp_link_get_colorimetry_config() returns wrong colorimetry value in the DP_TEST_DYNAMIC_RANGE_CEA case in the current implementation. 2023-10-09drm/msm/dp: Inline dp_link_parse_sink_count()Stephen Boyd
The function dp_link_parse_sink_count() is really just drm_dp_read_sink_count(). It debug prints out the bit for content protection (DP_SINK_CP_READY), but that is not useful beyond debug because 'link->dp_link.sink_count' is overwritten to only contain the sink_count in this same function. Just use drm_dp_read_sink_count() in the one place this function is called to simplify. 2020-11-10drm/msm/dp: skip checking LINK_STATUS_UPDATED bitKuogee Hsieh
Some dongle will not clear LINK_STATUS_UPDATED bit after DPCD read which cause link training failed. This patch just read 6 bytes of DPCD link status from sink and return without checking LINK_STATUS_UPDATED bit. Only 8 bits are used to represent link rate at sinker DPCD. The really link rate is 2.7Mb times the 8 bits value. For example, 0x0A at DPCD is equal to 2.7Gb (10 * 2.7Mb).
