2024-06-12clk: qcom: common: commonize qcom_cc_really_probeLuo Jie
The previous wrapper qcom_cc_really_probe takes the platform device as parameter, which is limited to platform driver. As for qca8k clock controller driver, which is registered as the MDIO device, which also follows the qcom clock framework. To commonize qcom_cc_really_probe, updating it to take the struct device as parameter, so that the qcom_cc_really_probe can be utilized by the previous platform device and the new added MDIO device. Also update the current clock controller drivers to take &pdev->dev as parameter when calling qcom_cc_really_probe. 2023-10-21clk: qcom: apss-ipq6018: add the GPLL0 clock also as clock providerKathiravan Thirumoorthy
While the kernel is booting up, APSS PLL will be running at 800MHz with GPLL0 as source. Once the cpufreq driver is available, APSS PLL will be configured and select the rate based on the opp table and the source will be changed to APSS_PLL_EARLY. Without this patch, CPU Freq driver reports that CPU is running at 24MHz instead of the 800MHz. 2023-10-21clk: qcom: apss-ipq6018: ipq5332: add safe source switch for a53pllVaradarajan Narayanan
Stromer Plus PLL found on IPQ53xx doesn't support dynamic frequency scaling. To achieve the same, we need to park the APPS PLL source to GPLL0, re configure the PLL and then switch the source to APSS_PLL_EARLY. To support this, register a clock notifier to get the PRE_RATE and POST_RATE notification. Change the APSS PLL source to GPLL0 when PRE_RATE notification is received, then configure the PLL and then change back the source to APSS_PLL_EARLY. Additionally, not all SKUs of IPQ53xx support scaling. Hence, do the above to the SKUs that support scaling. 2022-09-26clk: qcom: apss-ipq6018: mark apcs_alias0_core_clk as criticalRobert Marko
While fixing up the driver I noticed that my IPQ8074 board was hanging after CPUFreq switched the frequency during boot, WDT would eventually reset it. So mark apcs_alias0_core_clk as critical since its the clock feeding the CPU cluster and must never be disabled. 2022-09-26clk: qcom: apss-ipq6018: fix apcs_alias0_clk_srcRobert Marko
While working on IPQ8074 APSS driver it was discovered that IPQ6018 and IPQ8074 use almost the same PLL and APSS clocks, however APSS driver is currently broken. More precisely apcs_alias0_clk_src is broken, it was added as regmap_mux clock. However after debugging why it was always stuck at 800Mhz, it was figured out that its not regmap_mux compatible at all. It is a simple mux but it uses RCG2 register layout and control bits, so utilize the new clk_rcg2_mux_closest_ops to correctly drive it while not having to provide a dummy frequency table. While we are here, use ARRAY_SIZE for number of parents. Tested on IPQ6018-CP01-C1 reference board and multiple IPQ8074 boards.
