2024-11-05media: uapi: Add MEDIA_BUS_FMT_RGB101010_1X7X5_{SPWG, JEIDA}Liu Ying
Add two media bus formats that identify 30-bit RGB pixels transmitted by a LVDS link with five differential data pairs, serialized into 7 time slots, using standard SPWG/VESA or JEIDA data mapping. Now that metadata mbus formats have been added, it is necessary to define which fields in struct v4l2_mbus_format are applicable to them (not many). 2024-04-29media: uapi: Add generic serial metadata mbus formatsSakari Ailus
Add generic serial metadata mbus formats. These formats describe data width and packing but not the content itself. The reason for specifying such formats is that the formats as such are fairly device specific but they are still handled by CSI-2 receiver drivers that should not be aware of device specific formats. What makes generic metadata formats possible is that these formats are parsed by software only, after capturing the data to system memory. Also add a definition for "Data Unit" to cover what is essentially a pixel but is not image data. This patch adds documentations for RGB666_1X30_CPADLO, RGB888_1X30_CPADLO, RGB666_1X36_CPADLO and RGB888_1X36_CPADLO bus formats used by i.MX8qm/qxp pixel combiner. 2021-12-07media: docs: media: Fix imbalance of LaTeX groupAkira Yokosawa
The beginning part of the "existing HSV/HSL formats" table (line 7742) reads: .. raw:: latex \begingroup \tiny \setlength{\tabcolsep}{2pt} However, the ending part (line 7834) reads: .. raw:: latex \normalsize Fix the imbalance by replacing the \normalsize with \endgroup. 2020-09-26media: v4l2: extend the CSC API to subdevice.Dafna Hirschfeld
This patch extends the CSC API in video devices to be supported also on sub-devices. The flag V4L2_MBUS_FRAMEFMT_SET_CSC set by the application when calling VIDIOC_SUBDEV_S_FMT ioctl. The flags: V4L2_SUBDEV_MBUS_CODE_CSC_COLORSPACE, V4L2_SUBDEV_MBUS_CODE_CSC_XFER_FUNC, V4L2_SUBDEV_MBUS_CODE_CSC_YCBCR_ENC/V4L2_SUBDEV_MBUS_CODE_CSC_HSV_ENC V4L2_SUBDEV_MBUS_CODE_CSC_QUANTIZATION are set by the driver in the VIDIOC_SUBDEV_ENUM_MBUS_CODE ioctl. New 'flags' fields were added to the structs v4l2_subdev_mbus_code_enum, v4l2_mbus_framefmt which are borrowed from the 'reserved' field The patch also replaces the 'ycbcr_enc' field in 'struct v4l2_mbus_framefmt' with a union that includes 'hsv_enc' Signed-off-by: Dafna Hirschfeld <dafna.hirschfeld@collabora.com> Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hverkuil-cisco@xs4all.nl> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+huawei@kernel.org>

2020-04-14media: docs: move uAPI book to userspace-api/mediaMauro Carvalho Chehab
Since 2017, there is an space reserved for userspace API, created by changeset 1d596dee3862 ("docs: Create a user-space API guide"). As the media subsystem was one of the first subsystems to use Sphinx, until this patch, we were keeping things on a separate place. Let's just use the new location, as having all uAPI altogether will likely make things easier for developers. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+huawei@kernel.org>
