2023-12-04mlxbf-bootctl: correctly identify secure boot with development keysDavid Thompson
The secure boot state of the BlueField SoC is represented by two bits: 0 = production state 1 = secure boot enabled 2 = non-secure (secure boot disabled) 3 = RMA state There is also a single bit to indicate whether production keys or development keys are being used when secure boot is enabled. This single bit (specified by MLXBF_BOOTCTL_SB_DEV_MASK) only has meaning if secure boot state equals 1 (secure boot enabled). The secure boot states are as follows: - “GA secured” is when secure boot is enabled with official production keys. - “Secured (development)” is when secure boot is enabled with development keys. Without this fix “GA Secured” is displayed on development cards which is misleading. This patch updates the logic in "lifecycle_state_show()" to handle the case where the SoC is configured for secure boot and is using development keys. 2023-09-28platform/mellanox: nvsw-sn2201: Convert to platform remove callback ↵Uwe Kleine-König
returning void The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new(), which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers are converted, .remove_new() will be renamed to .remove(). Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove callback to the void returning variant. 2023-07-26platform: Explicitly include correct DT includesRob Herring
The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus. As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they "temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to explicitly include the correct includes. 2023-03-07platform: mellanox: select REGMAP instead of depending on itRandy Dunlap
REGMAP is a hidden (not user visible) symbol. Users cannot set it directly thru "make *config", so drivers should select it instead of depending on it if they need it. Consistently using "select" or "depends on" can also help reduce Kconfig circular dependency issues. Therefore, change the use of "depends on REGMAP" to "select REGMAP". For NVSW_SN2201, select REGMAP_I2C instead of depending on it. 2023-02-13platform/mellanox: mlxreg-hotplug: Allow more flexible hotplug events ↵Vadim Pasternak
configuration Currently hotplug configuration in logic device assumes that all items are provided with no holes. Thus, any group of hotplug events, associated with the specific status/event/mask registers is configured in those registers successively from bit zero to bit #n (#n < 8). This logic is changed int order to allow non-successive definition to support configuration with the skipped bits – for example bits 3, 5, 7 in status/event/mask registers can be associated with hotplug events, while others can be skipped. This reverts commit a10fba0377145fccefea4dc4dd5915b7ed87e546: the proposed API isn't supported on all transports but no effort was made to address this. It might not be hard to fix if we want to: maybe just rename size to size_hint and make sure legacy transports ignore the hint. But it's not sure what the benefit is in any case, so let's drop it.
