2022-08-15arm64: bcmbca: Make BCM4908 drivers depend on ARCH_BCMBCAWilliam Zhang
With Broadcom Broadband arch ARCH_BCMBCA supported in the kernel, this patch series migrate the ARCH_BCM4908 symbol to ARCH_BCMBCA. Hence replace ARCH_BCM4908 with ARCH_BCMBCA in subsystem Kconfig files. 2022-01-23phy: broadcom: Kconfig: Fix PHY_BRCM_USB config optionAl Cooper
The previous commit 4b402fa8e0b7 ("phy: phy-brcm-usb: support PHY on the BCM4908") added a second "default" line for ARCH_BCM_4908 above the original "default" line for ARCH_BRCMSTB. When two "default" lines are used, only the first is used and this change stopped the PHY_BRCM_USB option for being enabled for ARCH_BRCMSTB. The fix is to use one "default line with "||". 2021-03-15phy: phy-brcm-usb: select SOC_BRCMSTB on brcmstb onlyRafał Miłecki
phy-brcm-usb has some conditional init code required on selected brcmstb devices. Execution of that code depends on family / product detected by brcmstb soc code. For ARCH_BCM4908 brcmstb soc code always return 0 values as ids. Don't bother selecting & compiling that redundant driver. 2017-06-16phy: bcm-ns-usb3: add MDIO driver using proper bus layerRafał Miłecki
As USB 3.0 PHY is attached to the MDIO bus this module should provide a MDIO driver and use a proper bus layer. This is a proper (cleaner) solution which doesn't require code to know this specific MDIO bus details. It also allows reusing the driver with other MDIO buses. For now keep platform device support in place. We may consider dropping it once MDIO bindings gets used "everywhere".
