We use ppdu_sts to obtain channel information from hardware, to ensure that the scan results have correct channel information. However, some of ppdu_sts that is filtered by the to_self check is also needed for the scan results. Therefore, we modify the filter part in front of CFO count. By default the driver uses the 1M and 6M rate (0x0) for data frames in 2 GHz and 5/6 GHz bands respectively. But the rate that might not AP supported. 2023-04-03wifi: rtw89: add counters of register-based H2C/C2HPing-Ke Shih
The register-based H2C/C2H are used to exchange information between driver and firmware, but only apply to narrow area because its data size is smaller than regular packet-based H2C/C2H. This kind of H2C/C2H must be paired. To identify if any H2C/C2H is missing, update counters to help diagnose this kind of problems. 2023-03-31wifi: brcmfmac: Fix SDIO suspend/resume regressionHans de Goede
After commit 92cadedd9d5f ("brcmfmac: Avoid keeping power to SDIO card unless WOWL is used"), the wifi adapter by default is turned off on suspend and then re-probed on resume. In at least 2 model x86/acpi tablets with brcmfmac43430a1 wifi adapters, the newly added re-probe on resume fails like this: brcmfmac: brcmf_sdio_bus_rxctl: resumed on timeout ieee80211 phy1: brcmf_bus_started: failed: -110 ieee80211 phy1: brcmf_attach: dongle is not responding: err=-110 brcmfmac: brcmf_sdio_firmware_callback: brcmf_attach failed It seems this specific brcmfmac model does not like being reprobed without it actually being turned off first. And the adapter is not being turned off during suspend because of commit f0992ace680c ("brcmfmac: prohibit ACPI power management for brcmfmac driver"). Now that the driver is being reprobed on resume, the disabling of ACPI pm is no longer necessary, except when WOWL is used (in which case there is no-reprobe). Move the dis-/en-abling of ACPI pm to brcmf_sdio_wowl_config(), this fixes the brcmfmac43430a1 suspend/resume regression and should help save some power when suspended. This change means that the code now also may re-enable ACPI pm when WOWL gets disabled. ACPI pm should only be re-enabled if it was enabled by the ACPI core originally. Add a brcmf_sdiod_acpi_save_power_manageable() to save the original state for this. 2023-03-30wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: fix station link data leakJohannes Berg
When we remove the station, we call iwl_mvm_sta_del() which returns true if we cannot remove it from the firmware yet, which happens if this is the station ID for the AP station that's still used because the MAC is still associated. However, we still must free the link data as the station is only kept alive in the firmware, in mac80211 and driver the data structures are destroyed. To fix that, we need to make iwl_mvm_mld_free_sta_link() track whether or not the station is still alive in FW, as otherwise we might reuse the station ID in the meantime and iwl_mvm_mld_rm_sta_from_fw() would reject the later delete from the firmware. Add an argument to it for that. Then we can use the return value of iwl_mvm_sta_del() for that to fix the issue, and call iwl_mvm_mld_rm_sta_from_fw() only if we need to not keep the station in FW. If we change only idle, avoid sending the MAC context command since it doesn't depend on idle state. This also fixes an issue with the firmware because without this we send the command during link switching, as we just deactivated the first link, and we cannot send this command when there's no active link.
