2015-07-02ath10k: enhance swba event handler to adapt different size tim bitmapRaja Mani
Due to 512 client support in 10.4 firmware, size of tim ie is going to be slightly higher than non 10.4 firmware. So, size of tim_bitmap what is carried in swba event from 10.4 firmware is bit higher. The only bottle neck to reuse existing swba handler ath10k_wmi_event_host_swba() for 10.4 is that code designed to deal with fixed size tim bitmap(ie, tim_info[].tim_bitmap in wmi_swba_ev_arg). This patch removes such size limitation and makes it more suitable to handle swba event which has different size tim bitmap. All existing swba event parsing functions are changed to adapt this change. Actual support to handle 10.4 swba event is added in next patch. Only preparation is made in this patch. 2015-06-30ath10k: adjust default peer limits if qcache enabled in 10.4 fwRaja Mani
10.4 firmware supports upto 512 clients when qcache feature is enabled. Make adjustment on default max peer count, active peers, number of tid in such case to meet qcache requirement. 10.4 fw has extra unit info flag NUM_UNITS_IS_NUM_ACTIVE_PEERS which is also handled in this patch. 2015-06-30ath10k: handle 10.4 fw wmi mgmt rx eventRaja Mani
10.4 firmware wmi mgmt rx event format differs from non 10.4 firmware and changing existing wmi mgmt rx event parsing function ath10k_wmi_op_pull_mgmt_rx_ev() for 10.4 would add more complex. This patch adds new function to receive any wmi rx event from 10.4 firmware and also introduce new function to parse wmi mgmt rx event. In addition, fw main branch service rdy event parsing function is linked in wmi ops table. Signed-off-by: Raja Mani <rmani@qti.qualcomm.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@qca.qualcomm.com>
2015-06-30ath10k: fill 10.4 fw wmi init cmd default valuesRaja Mani

2015-06-30ath10k: include 10.4 fw specific wmi cmd and event idsRaja Mani
10.4 firmware wmi cmd and event id values are not exactly aligned with previous firmware versions (main, 10.x, 10.2, etc). Add new enum to define wmi cmd & event definitions for 10.4 firmware and prepare wmi_10_4_cmd_map based on 10.4 firmware wmi cmd definitions. wmi_cmd_map is extended to accommodate new wmi commands which are exclusively available in 10.4 firmware. 2015-04-17ath10k: use MAC clock rate same as FW uses for survey accuracyPeter Oh
WLAN survey data provides several informative values on each channels such as noise, active time, transmit time, and etc. Regarding the channel activity time data, it is reported from firmware in different form which is number of cycles instead of time itself. Hence host driver converts it to time unit by dividing it by clock rate that is used at baseband MAC. Using difference clock rate from that actual HW is using will result in inaccurate survey data. For instance, channel active time can be reported with bigger than 150ms even though we set Dwell time to 150ms. Therefore set the clock rate to 88000 (88 MHz) which is ath10k baseband MAC is using. 2015-04-15ath10k: use scan burst for hw rocMichal Kazior
This improves chances of getting onto a foreign channel and thus makes P2P a bit more reliable. Without scan burst it was possible for firmware to not switch to foreign channel resulting in "failed to switch to channel for roc scan" warning. This would also effectively fail some offchan tx requests and lead to P2P find/connect taking longer. This could be observed when other vifs were running/busy, e.g. with P2P GO. 2015-03-04ath10k: workaround qca6174 sta powersave issueMichal Kazior
qca6184 WLAN.RM.2.0-00073 has a bug in sta powersave state machine and requires peer param to be poked to enable the powersave. Calling this unconditionally should be safe for other chips/firmwares. 2015-02-15ath10k: add TxBF supportMichal Kazior
If firmware advertises support for TxBF then the driver has to instruct the firmware accordingly during runtime. Without this patch connecting to an AP with beamformer support would yield abysmal Rx performance. This has been tested with wmi-tlv and qca6174 while acting as a STA beamformee only. 2015-01-29ath10k: disable sta keepaliveMichal Kazior
Firmware revisions providing sta keepalive service have it enabled by default. mac80211 already does idle connection polling so it makes no sense to duplicate this in ath10k. mac80211 wouldn't even know of the offloaded keepalive NullFunc frames. This prevents sending out some extraneous frames on the air. 2015-01-29ath10k: move wmm param storage to vifMichal Kazior
mac80211 already requests WMM per vif but firmware wasn't able to handle this until now. However new wmi-tlv firmware for qca6174 is capable of this. This prepares per-vif WMM param setup. Signed-off-by: Michal Kazior <michal.kazior@tieto.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@qca.qualcomm.com>
2015-01-27ath10k: implement uapsd autotrigger commandJanusz Dziedzic

2015-01-27ath10k: fix 10.2 fw stats parsingMichal Kazior
Both 10.2 firmware binaries 10.2-00082-4 and 10.2.4.20 have introduced ABI changes to fw_stats each. This caused fw_stats to output wrong data. Define new structures and use them to parse the statistics correctly. Signed-off-by: Michal Kazior <michal.kazior@tieto.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@qca.qualcomm.com>
2015-01-27ath10k: split fw pdev stats parsingMichal Kazior

2014-12-23ath10k: add 10.2.4 firmware supportRajkumar Manoharan
10.2.4 firmware uses bitmask in wmi_resource_config to configure 10.2 firmware features like airtime fairness and rx batch mode instead of maintaining separete bool entry. This allows new features that can be configure during init time without breaking backward compatibility. kvalo: use WMI op version, bump up FW API to 4 to not break older versions of ath10k Signed-off-by: Rajkumar Manoharan <rmanohar@qti.qualcomm.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@qca.qualcomm.com>
2014-12-16ath10k: fix STA u-APSDMichal Kazior
To comply with WMM-PS the device shouldn't wake up with a NullFunc frame pair when tx-ing. Instead PM bit on each tx frame should be used. To make this work correctly firmware needs to be told to use a different STA PS wake threshold when u-APSD is enabled. 2014-12-08ath10k: add new wmi interface of NF cal periodPeter Oh
Introduce a new wmi interface controls noise floor (NF) calibration period via debugfs as firmware has introduced it on v10.2. It allows users to modify frequency of NF calibration in millisecond and changes RSSI reporting frequency consequently. Short calibration period will trigger more frequent NF calibration, so that RSSI reported in receive frames is more realistic. Till now calibration was done at 30 seconds. 2014-12-08ath10k: implement wmi-tlv backendMichal Kazior
Latest main firmware branch introduced a new WMI ABI called wmi-tlv. It is not a tlv strictly speaking but something that resembles it because it is ordered and may have duplicate id entries. This prepares ath10k to support new hw. Signed-off-by: Michal Kazior <michal.kazior@tieto.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@qca.qualcomm.com>
2014-12-08ath10k: make some wmi functions publicMichal Kazior
Some functions can be shared across different WMI ABIs. Make them public so different WMI backends can use them from different source files in the future. Signed-off-by: Michal Kazior <michal.kazior@tieto.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@qca.qualcomm.com>
2014-12-08ath10k: introduce wmi opsMichal Kazior
Since the 10.x fw branch support was introduced it became apparent ath10k will need to be able to deal with different fw ABIs eventually. The patch creates an abstraction for dealing with command and event structures across different ABIs and mostly gets rid of the ATH10K_FW_FEATURE_WMI_10X flag usage. 2014-12-01ath10k: fix wmi svc bitmap dbg printMichal Kazior
The dump print uses sizeof() but since service_map was a mere pointer the dump was too short. Signed-off-by: Michal Kazior <michal.kazior@tieto.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@qca.qualcomm.com>
2014-12-01ath10k: do not limit RTS threshold value to 2347Vivek Natarajan

2014-11-26ath10k: make hw roc more reliableMichal Kazior
With P2P concurrency requested hw roc duration time can be very small. Some firmware revisions refuse scan requests with too small channel dwell time. This prevents messages like, e.g. with connected STA vif and performing P2P Find: ath10k_pci 0000:00:05.0: failed to switch to channel for roc scan ieee80211 phy3: failed to start next HW ROC (-110) Signed-off-by: Michal Kazior <michal.kazior@tieto.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@qca.qualcomm.com>
2014-10-07ath10k: add support to configure pktlog filterRajkumar Manoharan
Add support to configure packet log filters (tx, rx, rate control) via debugfs. To disable htt pktlog events set the filters to 0. ex: To enable pktlog for all filters echo 0x1f > /sys/kernel/debug/ieee80211/phy*/ath10k/pktlog_filter To disable pktlog echo 0 > /sys/kernel/debug/ieee80211/phy*/ath10k/pktlog_filter Signed-off-by: Rajkumar Manoharan <rmanohar@qti.qualcomm.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@qca.qualcomm.com>

2014-09-23ath10k: deduplicate wmi service ready logicMichal Kazior
The logic responsible for processing the event is no different across different firmware binaries. The difference that needs to be dealt with is the ABI of data structures.
