2024-08-26net: ti: icssg-prueth: Add support for PA StatsMD Danish Anwar
Add support for dumping PA stats registers via ethtool. Firmware maintained stats are stored at PA Stats registers. Also modify emac_get_strings() API to use ethtool_puts(). This commit also maintains consistency between miig_stats and pa_stats by - renaming the array icssg_all_stats to icssg_all_miig_stats - renaming the structure icssg_stats to icssg_miig_stats - renaming ICSSG_STATS() to ICSSG_MIIG_STATS() - changing order of stats related data structures and arrays so that data structures of a certain stats type is clubbed together. 2024-08-01net: Use of_property_read_bool()Rob Herring (Arm)
Use of_property_read_bool() to read boolean properties rather than of_find_property(). This is part of a larger effort to remove callers of of_find_property() and similar functions. of_find_property() leaks the DT struct property and data pointers which is a problem for dynamically allocated nodes which may be freed. 2024-07-15net: Add struct kernel_ethtool_ts_infoKory Maincent
In prevision to add new UAPI for hwtstamp we will be limited to the struct ethtool_ts_info that is currently passed in fixed binary format through the ETHTOOL_GET_TS_INFO ethtool ioctl. It would be good if new kernel code already started operating on an extensible kernel variant of that structure, similar in concept to struct kernel_hwtstamp_config vs struct hwtstamp_config. Since struct ethtool_ts_info is in include/uapi/linux/ethtool.h, here we introduce the kernel-only structure in include/linux/ethtool.h. The manual copy is then made in the function called by ETHTOOL_GET_TS_INFO. 2024-07-15net: ti: icssg-prueth: Split out common object into moduleMD Danish Anwar
icssg_prueth.c and icssg_prueth_sr1.c drivers use multiple common .c files. These common objects are getting added to multiple modules. As a result when both drivers are enabled in .config, below warning is seen. drivers/net/ethernet/ti/Makefile: icssg/icssg_common.o is added to multiple modules: icssg-prueth icssg-prueth-sr1 drivers/net/ethernet/ti/Makefile: icssg/icssg_classifier.o is added to multiple modules: icssg-prueth icssg-prueth-sr1 drivers/net/ethernet/ti/Makefile: icssg/icssg_config.o is added to multiple modules: icssg-prueth icssg-prueth-sr1 drivers/net/ethernet/ti/Makefile: icssg/icssg_mii_cfg.o is added to multiple modules: icssg-prueth icssg-prueth-sr1 drivers/net/ethernet/ti/Makefile: icssg/icssg_stats.o is added to multiple modules: icssg-prueth icssg-prueth-sr1 drivers/net/ethernet/ti/Makefile: icssg/icssg_ethtool.o is added to multiple modules: icssg-prueth icssg-prueth-sr1 Fix this by building a new module (icssg.o) for all the common objects. Both the driver can then depend on this common module. Some APIs being exported have emac_ as the prefix which may result into confusion with other existing APIs with emac_ prefix, to avoid confusion, rename the APIs being exported with emac_ to icssg_ prefix. This also fixes below error seen when both drivers are built. ERROR: modpost: "icssg_queue_pop" [drivers/net/ethernet/ti/icssg-prueth-sr1.ko] undefined! 2024-06-09dmaengine: ti: k3-udma-glue: clean up return in k3_udma_glue_rx_get_irq()Dan Carpenter
Currently the k3_udma_glue_rx_get_irq() function returns either negative error codes or zero on error. Generally, in the kernel, zero means success so this be confusing and has caused bugs in the past. Also the "tx" version of this function only returns negative error codes. Let's clean this "rx" function so both functions match. This patch has no effect on runtime. 2024-06-07net: ti: icssg-prueth: Add multicast filtering supportMD Danish Anwar
Add multicast filtering support for ICSSG Driver. Multicast addresses will be updated by __dev_mc_sync() API. icssg_prueth_add_macst () and icssg_prueth_del_mcast() will be sync and unsync APIs for the driver respectively. To add a mac_address for a port, driver needs to call icssg_fdb_add_del() and pass the mac_address and BIT(port_id) to the API. The ICSSG firmware will then configure the rules and allow filtering. If a mac_address is added to port0 and the same mac_address needs to be added for port1, driver needs to pass BIT(port0) | BIT(port1) to the icssg_fdb_add_del() API. If driver just pass BIT(port1) then the entry for port0 will be overwritten / lost. This is a design constraint on the firmware side. To overcome this in the driver, to add any mac_address for let's say portX driver first checks if the same mac_address is already added for any other port. If yes driver calls icssg_fdb_add_del() with BIT(portX) | BIT(other_existing_port). If not, driver calls icssg_fdb_add_del() with BIT(portX). The same thing is applicable for deleting mac_addresses as well. This logic is in icssg_prueth_add_mcast / icssg_prueth_del_mcast APIs. The k3_udma_glue_tx_get_irq() function currently returns negative error codes on error, zero on error and positive values for success. 2023-09-15net: ti: icssg-prueth: Add support for half duplex operationMD Danish Anwar
This patch adds support for half duplex operation at 10M and 100M link speeds for AM654x/AM64x devices. - Driver configures rand_seed, a random number, in DMEM HD_RAND_SEED_OFFSET field, which will be used by firmware for Back off time calculation. - Driver informs FW about half duplex link operation in DMEM PORT_LINK_SPEED_OFFSET field by setting bit 7 for 10/100M HD. Hence, the half duplex operation depends on board design the "ti,half-duplex-capable" property has to be enabled for ICSS-G ports if HW is capable to perform half duplex. For AM65x SR2.0 it's required to enable IEP1 in raw 64bit mode which is used by PRU FW to monitor the link and apply w/a for 10M link issue. Note. No public errata available yet. Without this w/a the PRU FW will stuck if link state changes under TX traffic pressure. Hence, add support for 10M full duplex for AM65x SR2.0: - add new IEP API to enable IEP, but without PTP support - add pdata quirk_10m_link_issue to enable 10M link issue w/a. 2023-08-27net: ti: icssg-prueth: add packet timestamping and ptp supportRoger Quadros
Add packet timestamping TS and PTP PHC clock support. For AM65x and AM64x: - IEP1 is not used - IEP0 is configured in shadow mode with 1ms cycle and shared between Linux and FW. It provides time and TS in number cycles, so special conversation in ns is required. - IEP0 shared between PRUeth ports. - IEP0 supports PPS, periodic output. - IEP0 settime() and enabling PPS required FW interraction. - RX TS provided with each packet in CPPI5 descriptor. - TX TS returned through separate ICSSG hw queues for each port. TX TS readiness is signaled by INTC IRQ. Only one packet at time can be requested for TX TS.
