2023-04-04net: ethernet: ti: am65-cpsw: Fix mdio cleanup in probeSiddharth Vadapalli
In the am65_cpsw_nuss_probe() function's cleanup path, the call to of_platform_device_destroy() for the common->mdio_dev device is invoked unconditionally. It is possible that either the MDIO node is not present in the device-tree, or the MDIO node is disabled in the device-tree. In both these cases, the MDIO device is not created, resulting in a NULL pointer dereference when the of_platform_device_destroy() function is invoked on the common->mdio_dev device on the cleanup path. Fix this by ensuring that the common->mdio_dev device exists, before attempting to invoke of_platform_device_destroy(). 2023-03-28net: ethernet: ti: am65-cpsw: enable p0 host port rx_vlan_remapGrygorii Strashko
By default, the tagged ingress packets to the switch from the host port P0 get internal switch priority assigned equal to the DMA CPPI channel number they came from, unless CPSW_P0_CONTROL_REG.RX_REMAP_VLAN is enabled. This causes issues with applying QoS policies and mapping packets on external port fifos, because the default configuration is vlan_aware and DMA CPPI channels are shared between all external ports. Hence enable CPSW_P0_CONTROL_REG.RX_REMAP_VLAN so packet will preserve internal switch priority assigned following the VLAN(priority) tag no matter through which DMA CPPI Channels packets enter the switch. 2023-02-10net: ethernet: ti: am65-cpsw: Add RX DMA Channel Teardown QuirkSiddharth Vadapalli
In TI's AM62x/AM64x SoCs, successful teardown of RX DMA Channel raises an interrupt. The process of servicing this interrupt involves flushing all pending RX DMA descriptors and clearing the teardown completion marker (TDCM). The am65_cpsw_nuss_rx_packets() function invoked from the RX NAPI callback services the interrupt. Thus, it is necessary to wait for this handler to run, drain all packets and clear TDCM, before calling napi_disable() in am65_cpsw_nuss_common_stop() function post channel teardown. If napi_disable() executes before ensuring that TDCM is cleared, the TDCM remains set when the interfaces are down, resulting in an interrupt storm when the interfaces are brought up again. Since the interrupt raised to indicate the RX DMA Channel teardown is specific to the AM62x and AM64x SoCs, add a quirk for it. 2023-01-24net: ethernet: ti: am65-cpsw/cpts: Fix CPTS release actionSiddharth Vadapalli
The am65_cpts_release() function is registered as a devm_action in the am65_cpts_create() function in am65-cpts driver. When the am65-cpsw driver invokes am65_cpts_create(), am65_cpts_release() is added in the set of devm actions associated with the am65-cpsw driver's device. In the event of probe failure or probe deferral, the platform_drv_probe() function invokes dev_pm_domain_detach() which powers off the CPSW and the CPSW's CPTS hardware, both of which share the same power domain. Since the am65_cpts_disable() function invoked by the am65_cpts_release() function attempts to reset the CPTS hardware by writing to its registers, the CPTS hardware is assumed to be powered on at this point. However, the hardware is powered off before the devm actions are executed. Fix this by getting rid of the devm action for am65_cpts_release() and invoking it directly on the cleanup and exit paths. 2023-01-24net: ethernet: ti: am65-cpsw: Delete unreachable error handling codeSiddharth Vadapalli
The am65_cpts_create() function returns -EOPNOTSUPP only when the config "CONFIG_TI_K3_AM65_CPTS" is disabled. Also, in the am65_cpsw_init_cpts() function, am65_cpts_create() can only be invoked if the config "CONFIG_TI_K3_AM65_CPTS" is enabled. Thus, the error handling code for the case in which the return value of am65_cpts_create() is -EOPNOTSUPP, is unreachable. Hence delete it. 2023-01-19net: ethernet: ti: am65-cpsw: Handle -EPROBE_DEFER for Serdes PHYSiddharth Vadapalli
In the am65_cpsw_init_serdes_phy() function, the error handling for the call to the devm_of_phy_get() function misses the case where the return value of devm_of_phy_get() is ERR_PTR(-EPROBE_DEFER). Proceeding without handling this case will result in a crash when the "phy" pointer with this value is dereferenced by phy_init() in am65_cpsw_enable_phy(). 2022-12-07net: ethernet: ti: am65-cpsw: Add suspend/resume supportRoger Quadros
Add PM handlers for System suspend/resume. As DMA driver doesn't yet support suspend/resume we free up the DMA channels at suspend and acquire and initialize them at resume. In this revised approach we do not free the TX/RX IRQs at am65_cpsw_nuss_common_stop() as it causes problems. We will now free them only on .suspend() as we need to release the DMA channels (as DMA looses context) and re-acquiring them on .resume() may not necessarily give us the same IRQs. To make this easier: - introduce am65_cpsw_nuss_remove_rx_chns() which is similar to am65_cpsw_nuss_remove_tx_chns(). These will be invoked in pm.suspend() to release the DMA channels and free up the IRQs. - move napi_add() and request_irq() calls to am65_cpsw_nuss_init_rx/tx_chns() so we can invoke them in pm.resume() to acquire the DMA channels and IRQs. As CPTS looses contect during suspend/resume, invoke the necessary CPTS suspend/resume helpers. ALE_CLEAR command is issued in cpsw_ale_start() so no need to issue it before the call to cpsw_ale_start(). 2022-11-03net: make drivers to use SET_NETDEV_DEVLINK_PORT to set devlink_portJiri Pirko
Benefit from the previously implemented tracking of netdev events in devlink code and instead of calling devlink_port_type_eth_set() and devlink_port_type_clear() to set devlink port type and link to related netdev, use SET_NETDEV_DEVLINK_PORT() macro to assign devlink_port pointer to netdevice which is about to be registered. 2022-09-28net: drop the weight argument from netif_napi_addJakub Kicinski
We tell driver developers to always pass NAPI_POLL_WEIGHT as the weight to netif_napi_add(). This may be confusing to newcomers, drop the weight argument, those who really need to tweak the weight can use netif_napi_add_weight(). 2022-08-24net: ethernet: ti: am65-cpsw: Move phy_set_mode_ext() to correct locationSiddharth Vadapalli
In TI's J7200 SoC CPSW5G ports, each of the 4 ports can be configured as a QSGMII main or QSGMII-SUB port. This configuration is performed by phy-gmii-sel driver on invoking the phy_set_mode_ext() function. It is necessary for the QSGMII main port to be configured before any of the QSGMII-SUB interfaces are brought up. Currently, the QSGMII-SUB interfaces come up before the QSGMII main port is configured. Fix this by moving the call to phy_set_mode_ext() from am65_cpsw_nuss_ndo_slave_open() to am65_cpsw_nuss_init_slave_ports(), thereby ensuring that the QSGMII main port is configured before any of the QSGMII-SUB ports are brought up. 2022-07-07net: ethernet: ti: am65-cpsw: Fix devlink port register sequenceSiddharth Vadapalli
Renaming interfaces using udevd depends on the interface being registered before its netdev is registered. Otherwise, udevd reads an empty phys_port_name value, resulting in the interface not being renamed. Fix this by registering the interface before registering its netdev by invoking am65_cpsw_nuss_register_devlink() before invoking register_netdev() for the interface. Move the function call to devlink_port_type_eth_set(), invoking it after register_netdev() is invoked, to ensure that netlink notification for the port state change is generated after the netdev is completely initialized. 2022-05-27net: ethernet: ti: am65-cpsw-nuss: Fix some refcount leaksMiaoqian Lin
of_get_child_by_name() returns a node pointer with refcount incremented, we should use of_node_put() on it when not need anymore. am65_cpsw_init_cpts() and am65_cpsw_nuss_probe() don't release the refcount in error case. 2022-05-25net: ethernet: ti: am65-cpsw: Fix fwnode passed to phylink_create()Siddharth Vadapalli
am65-cpsw-nuss driver incorrectly uses fwnode member of common ethernet device's "struct device_node" instead of using fwnode member of the port's "struct device_node" in phylink_create(). This results in all ports having the same phy data when there are multiple ports with their phy properties populated in their respective nodes rather than the common ethernet device node. Fix it here by using fwnode member of the port's node.
