2022-07-04nfp: support TX VLAN ctag insertDiana Wang
Add support for TX VLAN ctag insert which may be configured via ethtool. e.g. # ethtool -K $DEV tx-vlan-offload on The NIC supplies VLAN insert information as packet metadata. The fields of this VLAN metadata are gotten from sk_buff, including vlan_proto and vlan tag. Configuration control bit NFP_NET_CFG_CTRL_TXVLAN_V2 is to signal availability of ctag-insert features of the firmware. NFDK is used to communicate via PCIE to NFP-3800 based NICs while NFD3 is used for other NICs supported by the NFP driver. The metadata format on tx side of NFD3 is different from NFDK. This feature is not currently implemented for NFDK. 2022-07-04nfp: support RX VLAN ctag/stag stripDiana Wang
Add support for RX VLAN ctag/stag strip which may be configured via ethtool. e.g. # ethtool -K $DEV rx-vlan-offload on # ethtool -K $DEV rx-vlan-stag-hw-parse on Ctag-stripped and stag-stripped cannot be enabled at the same time because currently the kernel supports only one layer of VLAN stripping. The NIC supplies VLAN strip information as packet metadata. The fields of this VLAN metadata are: * strip flag: 1 for stripped; 0 for unstripped * tci: VLAN TCI ID * tpid: 1 for ETH_P_8021AD; 0 for ETH_P_8021Q Configuration control bits NFP_NET_CFG_CTRL_RXVLAN_V2 and NFP_NET_CFG_CTRL_RXQINQ are to signal availability of ctag-strip and stag-strip features of the firmware. 2022-07-02net: add skb_[inner_]tcp_all_headers helpersEric Dumazet

2022-06-21nfp: compose firmware file name with new hwinfo "nffw.partno"Yu Xiao
During initialization of the NFP driver, a file name for loading application firmware is composed using the NIC's AMDA information and port type (count and speed). E.g.: "nic_AMDA0145-1012_2x10.nffw". In practice there may be many variants for each NIC type, and many of the variants relate to assembly components which do not concern the driver and application firmware implementation. Yet the current scheme leads to a different application firmware file name for each variant, because they have different AMDA information. To reduce proliferation of content-duplicated application firmware images or symlinks, the NIC's management firmware will only expose differences between variants that need different application firmware via a newly introduced hwinfo, "nffw.partno". Use of the existing hwinfo, "assembly.partno", is maintained in order to support for NICs with management firmware that does not expose "nffw.partno". 2022-06-19Revert "nfp: update nfp_X logging definitions"Simon Horman
This reverts commit 9386ebccfc59 ("nfp: update nfp_X logging definitions") The reverted patch was intended to improve logging for the NFP driver by including information such as the source code file and number in log messages. Unfortunately our experience is that this has not improved things as we had hoped. The resulting logs are inconsistent with (most) other kernel log messages. And rely on knowledge of the source code version in order for the extra information to be useful. Thus, revert the change. We acknowledge that Jakub Kicinski <kuba@kernel.org> foresaw this problem. 2022-06-09nfp: avoid unnecessary check warnings in nfp_app_get_vf_configFei Qin
nfp_net_sriov_check is added in nfp_app_get_vf_config which intends to ensure ivi->vlan_proto and ivi->max_tx_rate/min_tx_rate can be read from VF config table only when firmware supports corresponding capability. However, "nfp_app_get_vf_config" can be called by commands like "ip a", "ip link set $DEV up" and "ip link set $DEV vf $NUM vlan $param" (with VF). When using commands above, many warnings "ndo_set_vf_<cap_x> not supported" would appear if firmware doesn't support VF rate limit and 802.1ad VLAN assingment. If more VFs are created, things could get worse. Thus, this patch add an extra bool parameter for nfp_net_sriov_check to enable/disable the cap check warning report. Unnecessary warnings in nfp_app_get_vf_config can be avoided. Valid warnings in kinds of vf setting function can be reserved. 2022-06-02nfp: remove padding in nfp_nfdk_tx_descFei Qin
NFDK firmware supports 48-bit dma addressing and parses 16 high bits of dma addresses. In nfp_nfdk_tx_desc, dma related structure and tso related structure are union. When "mss" be filled with nonzero value due to enable tso, the memory used by "padding" may be also filled. Then, firmware may parse wrong dma addresses which causes TX watchdog timeout problem. This patch removes padding and unifies the dma_addr_hi bits with the one in firmware. nfp_nfdk_tx_desc_set_dma_addr is also added to match this change. 2022-05-06nfp: flower: rework tunnel neighbour configurationLouis Peens
This patch updates the way in which the tunnel neighbour entries are handled. Previously they were mostly send-and-forget, with just the destination IP's cached in a list. This update changes to a scheme where the neighbour entry information is stored in a hash table. The reason for this is that the neighbour table will now also be used on the decapsulation path, whereas previously it was only used for encapsulation. We need to save more of the neighbour information in order to link them with flower flows in follow up patches. Updating of the neighbour table is now also handled by the same function, instead of separate *_write_neigh_vX functions. 2022-05-06nfp: flower: add infrastructure for pre_tun reworkLouis Peens
The previous implementation of using a pre_tun_table for decap has some limitations, causing flows to end up unoffloaded when in fact we are able to offload them. This is because the pre_tun_table does not have enough matching resolution. The next step is to instead make use of the neighbour table which already exists for the encap direction. This patch prepares for this by: - Moving nfp_tun_neigh/_v6 to main.h. - Creating two new "wrapping" structures, one to keep track of neighbour entries (previously they were send-and-forget), and another to keep track of pre_tun flows. - Create a new list in nfp_flower_priv to keep track of pre_tunnel flows - Create a new table in nfp_flower_priv to keep track of next neighbour entries - Initialising and destroying these new list/tables - Extending nfp_fl_payload->pre_tun_rule to save more information for future use. 2022-05-02nfp: support VxLAN inner TSO with GSO_PARTIAL offloadFei Qin
VxLAN belongs to UDP-based encapsulation protocol. Inner TSO for VxLAN packet with udpcsum requires offloading of outer header csum. The device doesn't support outer header csum offload. However, inner TSO for VxLAN with udpcsum can still work with GSO_PARTIAL offload, which means outer udp csum computed by stack and inner tcp segmentation finished by hardware. Thus, the patch enable features "NETIF_F_GSO_UDP_TUNNEL_CSUM" and "NETIF_F_GSO_PARTIAL" and set gso_partial_features. Previously it was not possible to determine which code path was responsible for generating a certain message after a call to the nfp_X messaging definitions for cases of duplicate strings. We therefore modify nfp_err, nfp_warn, nfp_info, nfp_dbg and nfp_printk to print the corresponding file and line number where the nfp_X definition is used. 2022-03-21nfp: nfdk: implement xdp tx path for NFDKYinjun Zhang
Due to the different definition of txbuf in NFDK comparing to NFD3, there're no pre-allocated txbufs for xdp use in NFDK's implementation, we just use the existed rxbuf and recycle it when xdp tx is completed. For each packet to transmit in xdp path, we cannot use more than `NFDK_TX_DESC_PER_SIMPLE_PKT` txbufs, one is to stash virtual address, and another is for dma address, so currently the amount of transmitted bytes is not accumulated. Also we borrow the last bit of virtual addr to indicate a new transmitted packet due to address's alignment attribution. 2022-03-21nfp: add support for NFDK data pathJakub Kicinski
Add new data path. The TX is completely different, each packet has multiple descriptor entries (between 2 and 32). TX ring is divided into blocks 32 descriptor, and descritors of one packet can't cross block bounds. The RX side is the same for now. ABI version 5 or later is required. There is no support for VLAN insertion on TX. XDP_TX action and AF_XDP zero-copy is not implemented in NFDK path. Changes to Jakub's work: * Move statistics of hw_csum_tx after jumbo packet's segmentation. * Set L3_CSUM flag to enable recaculating of L3 header checksum in ipv4 case. * Mark the case of TSO a packet with metadata prepended as unsupported. 2022-03-21nfp: choose data path based on versionJakub Kicinski
Prepare for choosing data path based on the firmware version field. Exploit one bit from the reserved byte in the firmware version field as the data path type. We need the firmware version right after vNIC is allocated, so it has to be read inside nfp_net_alloc(), callers don't have to set it afterwards. Following patches will bring the implementation of the second data path.
