2017-02-11i40e: Add bus number info to i40e_bus_info structSudheer Mogilappagari
Currently i40e_bus_info has PCI device and function info only and log messages print device number as bus number. Added field to provide bus number info and modified log statements to print bus, device and function information. 2017-02-11i40e: Clean up dead codeMitch Williams
The function i40e_client_prepare() can never return an error. So make it void and quit checking its return value. 2017-02-11i40e: don't check params until after checking for client instanceJacob Keller
We can avoid the minor bit of work by calling check params after we check for the client instance, since we're about to return early in cases where we do not have a client. 2017-02-02i40e: remove unused functionMitch Williams
After refactoring the client open and close code, this is no longer needed. Remove it. 2016-10-28i40e: reopen client after resetMitch Williams
Allow the client interface to reopen existing clients if they were closed. This allows clients to recover from reset, which is essential for supporting VF RDMA. In one instance, the driver was not clearing the open bit when the client was closed. Add the code to clear this bit so that the state is accurate and the driver will not attempt to reopen already-open clients. Remove the ref_cnt variable; it was just getting in the way and was not being used consistently. 2016-10-28i40e: Remove unused function i40e_vsi_lookupAlexander Duyck
The function is not used so there is no need to carry it forward. I have plans to add a slightly different function that can be inlined to handle the same kind of functionality. 2016-10-28i40e: Fix client interactionCarolyn Wyborny
This patch fixes a problem in the client interface that was causing random stack traces in RDMA driver load and unload tests. This patch fixes the problem by checking for an existing client before trying to open it. Without this patch, there is a timing related null pointer deref. 2016-08-25i40e: Change some init flow for the clientAnjali Singhai Jain
This change makes a common flow for Client instance open during init and reset path. The Client subtask can handle both the cases instead of making a separate notify_client_of_open call. Also it may fix a bug during reset where the service task was leaking some memory and causing issues. 2016-08-19i40e: Correcting mutex usage in client codeAvinash Dayanand
Correcting the mutex usage, in client_subtask(), mutex_unlock has to be called just before client_del_instance() since this function opens and later closes the same mutex again. Similarly in client_is_registered removing the mutex since it closes the mutex twice. This is a patch suggested by RDMA team. 2016-08-19i40e: Initialize pointer in client_release functionHarshitha Ramamurthy
The function i40e_client_release has a print statement that uses an adapter pointer which is not initialized if a previous if statement is not true. Hence, intialize it in the right place. 2016-08-19i40e: Check client is open before calling client opsCatherine Sullivan
We were having a race between the completion of the client open and calls to the client ops so don't call a client op unless we are sure the client is open. Testing Hints: Load IWARP driver and make sure it works as expected. 2016-08-18i40e: Force register writes to mitigate sync issues with iwarp VF driverAvinash Dayanand
This patch is a fix for the bug i.e. unable to create iwarp device in VF. This is a sync issue and the iwarp device open is called even before the PCI register writes are done. Forcing the PCI register writes to happen just before it exits the function. 2016-08-18i40e: Fix a bug where a client close can be called before an open is completeAnjali Singhai Jain
The client->open call in this path was not protected with the client instance mutex, and hence the client->close can get initiated before the open completes. 2016-02-29i40e: Add support for client interface for IWARP driverAnjali Singhai Jain
This patch adds a Client interface for i40iw driver support. Also expands the Virtchannel to support messages from i40evf driver on behalf of i40iwvf driver. This client API is used by the i40iw and i40iwvf driver to access the core driver resources brokered by the i40e driver.
