2017-08-07net: sched: push cls related args into cls_common structureJiri Pirko
As ndo_setup_tc is generic offload op for whole tc subsystem, does not really make sense to have cls-specific args. So move them under cls_common structurure which is embedded in all cls structs. 2017-08-07net: sched: make type an argument for ndo_setup_tcJiri Pirko
Since the type is always present, push it to be a separate argument to ndo_setup_tc. On the way, name the type enum and use it for arg type. Signed-off-by: Jiri Pirko <jiri@mellanox.com> Acked-by: Jamal Hadi Salim <jhs@mojatatu.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-07-24net: Convert to using %pOF instead of full_nameRob Herring
Now that we have a custom printf format specifier, convert users of full_name to use %pOF instead. This is preparation to remove storing of the full path string for each node. Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2017-06-08net: propagate tc filter chain index down the ndo_setup_tc callJiri Pirko
We need to push the chain index down to the drivers, so they have the information to which chain the rule belongs. For now, no driver supports multichain offload, so only chain 0 is supported. This is needed to prevent chain squashes during offload for now. Later this will be used to implement multichain offload. Signed-off-by: Jiri Pirko <jiri@mellanox.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-04-01dpaa_eth: use AVOIDBLOCK for Tx confirmation queuesMadalin Bucur
The AVOIDBLOCK flag determines the Tx confirmation queues processing to be redirected to any available CPU when the current one is slow in processing them. This may result in a higher Tx confirmation interrupt count but may reduce pressure on a certain CPU that with the previous setting would process all Tx confirmation frames. 2017-03-15mqprio: Modify mqprio to pass user parameters via ndo_setup_tc.Amritha Nambiar
The configurable priority to traffic class mapping and the user specified queue ranges are used to configure the traffic class, overriding the hardware defaults when the 'hw' option is set to 0. However, when the 'hw' option is non-zero, the hardware QOS defaults are used. This patch makes it so that we can pass the data the user provided to ndo_setup_tc. This allows us to pull in the queue configuration if the user requested it as well as any additional hardware offload type requested by using a value other than 1 for the hw value. Finally it also provides a means for the device driver to return the level supported for the offload type via the qopt->hw value. Previously we were just always assuming the value to be 1, in the future values beyond just 1 may be supported. 2017-03-09dpaa_eth: enable multiple Tx traffic classesCamelia Groza
Implement the setup_tc ndo to configure prioritised Tx traffic classes. Priorities range from 0 (lowest) to 3 (highest). The driver assigns NR_CPUS queues to each traffic class. Signed-off-by: Camelia Groza <camelia.groza@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Madalin Bucur <madalin.bucur@nxp.com>
2017-03-09dpaa_eth: add four prioritised Tx traffic classesCamelia Groza
Each traffic class corresponds to a WQ priority level. The number of Tx netdev queues and frame queues is increased to NR_CPUS queues for each traffic class. In addition, the priority of the Rx, Error and Conf queues is lowered but their order is maintained. By default, only one traffic class is enabled, only the low priority Tx queues are used and only the corresponding netdev queues are advertised. napi_complete_done() allows to opt-in for gro_flush_timeout, added back in linux-3.19, commit 3b47d30396ba ("net: gro: add a per device gro flush timer") This allows for more efficient GRO aggregation without sacrifying latencies. 2017-01-08net: make ndo_get_stats64 a void functionstephen hemminger
The network device operation for reading statistics is only called in one place, and it ignores the return value. Having a structure return value is potentially confusing because some future driver could incorrectly assume that the return value was used. Fix all drivers with ndo_get_stats64 to have a void function. Signed-off-by: Stephen Hemminger <sthemmin@microsoft.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
