2022-01-28media: camss: Use platform_get_irq_byname() to get the interruptLad Prabhakar
platform_get_resource_byname(pdev, IORESOURCE_IRQ, ..) relies on static allocation of IRQ resources in DT core code, this causes an issue when using hierarchical interrupt domains using "interrupts" property in the node as this bypasses the hierarchical setup and messes up the irq chaining. In preparation for removal of static setup of IRQ resource from DT core code use platform_get_irq_byname(). 2022-01-23media: camss: Do vfe_get/vfe_put for csid on sm8250Bryan O'Donoghue
The sm8250 CAMSS CSID depends on the VFE it is attached to being powered on and clocked prior to taking the CSID out of reset. It is possible to open just the CSID subdev from libcamera and attempt to bring the CSID block up. If we do not first bring up the VFE the CSID will fail to come out of reset. 2022-01-23media: camss: Add SM8250 bandwdith configuration supportBryan O'Donoghue
Downstream makes some pretty explicit comments about voting for bus bandwidth prior to camcc_camnoc_axi_clk_src. Working with camx downstream also shows that the bandwidth vote is required to get that root clock working. Add a simple mechanism to declare set and unset named NOCs. Whereas the objective is to enable the sm8250 specifically the code has been implemented to allow setting of whatever NOCs different SoCs using this driver may require. The Titan 480 camss found on SM8250 has 6 CSIPHY and 4 VFE/CSID. 2021-11-30media: venus: avoid calling core_clk_setrate() concurrently during ↵Mansur Alisha Shaik
concurrent video sessions In existing implementation, core_clk_setrate() is getting called concurrently in concurrent video sessions. Before the previous call to core_clk_setrate returns, new call to core_clk_setrate is invoked from another video session running concurrently. This results in latest calculated frequency being set (higher/lower) instead of actual frequency required for that video session. It also results in stability crashes mention below. These resources are specific to video core, hence keeping under core lock would ensure that they are estimated for all running video sessions and called once for the video core. 2021-10-21media: venus: Handle fatal errors during encoding and decodingStanimir Varbanov
According to stateful decoder docs a fatal failure of decoding (and encoding) could be recover it by closing the corresponding file handle and open new one or reinitialize decoding (and encoding) by stop streaming on both queues. In order to satisfy this requirement we add a mechanism ins sys_error_handler and corresponding decoder and encoder drivers to wait for sys_error_done waitqueue in reqbuf. 2021-10-08media: venus: fix vpp frequency calculation for decoderMansur Alisha Shaik
In existing video driver implementation vpp frequency calculation in calculate_inst_freq() is always zero because the value of vpp_freq_per_mb is always zero for decoder. Fixed this by correcting the calculating the vpp frequency calculation for decoder. 2021-10-08media: venus: vdec: update output buffer size during vdec_s_fmt()Mansur Alisha Shaik
Video driver maintains an internal context for the output buffer size. During S_fmt() on capture plane, the output buffer size is not updated in driver context. As a result, during buf_prepare(), the size of the vb2_plane and internal size of the buffer, as maintained by the driver, does not match. This leads to buf_prepare() failure. Update the instance context for the output buffer size during s_fmt(). 2021-10-08media: venus: helper: change log level for false warning messageMansur Alisha Shaik
In current video driver implementation in calculate_inst_freq() frequency is calculated based on filled_len. The filled_len may vary frame to frame, because of this in load_scale_v4() since frequency is calculated for all instances, driver is throwing false warning like "HW is overloaded". Hence to handle this, changed log level to low log message. Since the actual session rejection is happening in decide_core() based on load.
