2024-10-30RDMA/bnxt_re: Check cqe flags to know imm_data vs inv_irkeyKashyap Desai
Invalidate rkey is cpu endian and immediate data is in big endian format. Both immediate data and invalidate the remote key returned by HW is in little endian format. While handling the commit in fixes tag, the difference between immediate data and invalidate rkey endianness was not considered. Without changes of this patch, Kernel ULP was failing while processing inv_rkey. dmesg log snippet - nvme nvme0: Bogus remote invalidation for rkey 0x2000019Fix in this patch Do endianness conversion based on completion queue entry flag. Also, the HW completions are already converted to host endianness in bnxt_qplib_cq_process_res_rc and bnxt_qplib_cq_process_res_ud and there is no need to convert it again in bnxt_re_poll_cq. Modified the union to hold the correct data type. 2024-10-28RDMA/bnxt_re: Add support for CQ rx coalescingChandramohan Akula
RoCE message rate performance is heavily degraded without the use of cq coalescing. With proper coalescing, message rates get better. 2024-10-28RDMA/bnxt_re: Add support for optimized modify QPKalesh AP
Modify QP improvements are for state transitions from INIT -> RTR and RTR -> RTS. In order to support the Modify QP Optimization feature, the driver is expected to check for the feature support in the CMDQ_QUERY_FUNC and register its support for this feature with the FW in CMDQ_INITIALIZE_FIRMWARE. Additionally, the driver is required to specify the new fields and attribute masks for the transitions as follows: 1. INIT -> RTR: - New fields: srq_used, type. - enable srq_used when RC QP is configured to use SRQ. - set the type based on the QP type. - Mandatory masks: - RC: CMDQ_MODIFY_QP_MODIFY_MASK_ACCESS, CMDQ_MODIFY_QP_MODIFY_MASK_PKEY - UD QP and QP1: CMDQ_MODIFY_QP_MODIFY_MASK_PKEY, CMDQ_MODIFY_QP_MODIFY_MASK_QKEY 2. 2024-10-21RDMA/bnxt_re: synchronize the qp-handle table arraySelvin Xavier
There is a race between the CREQ tasklet and destroy qp when accessing the qp-handle table. 2024-10-11RDMA/bnxt_re: Fix the GID table lengthKalesh AP
GID table length is reported by FW. The gid index which is passed to the driver during modify_qp/create_ah is restricted by the sgid_index field of struct ib_global_route. sgid_index is u8 and the max sgid possible is 256. Each GID entry in HW will have 2 GID entries in the kernel gid table. So we can support twice the gid table size reported by FW. Also, restrict the max GID to 256 also. 2024-10-11RDMA/bnxt_re: Avoid CPU lockups due fifo occupancy check loopSelvin Xavier
Driver waits indefinitely for the fifo occupancy to go below a threshold as soon as the pacing interrupt is received. This can cause soft lockup on one of the processors, if the rate of DB is very high. Add a loop count for FPGA and exit the __wait_for_fifo_occupancy_below_th if the loop is taking more time. Pacing will be continuing until the occupancy is below the threshold. This is ensured by the checks in bnxt_re_pacing_timer_exp and further scheduling the work for pacing based on the fifo occupancy. 2024-10-08RDMA/bnxt_re: Fix incorrect AVID type in WQE structureSaravanan Vajravel
Driver uses internal data structure to construct WQE frame. It used avid type as u16 which can accommodate up to 64K AVs. When outstanding AVID crosses 64K, driver truncates AVID and hence it uses incorrect AVID to WR. 2024-09-02RDMA/bnxt_re: Share a page to expose per SRQ info with userspaceChandramohan Akula
Gen P7 adapters needs to share a toggle bits information received in kernel driver with the user space. User space needs this info to arm the SRQ. User space application can get this page using the UAPI routines. Library will mmap this page and get the toggle bits to be used in the next ARM Doorbell. Uses a hash list to map the SRQ structure from the SRQ ID. SRQ structure is retrieved from the hash list while the library calls the UAPI routine to get the toggle page mapping. Currently the full page is mapped per SRQ. This can be optimized to enable multiple SRQs from the same application share the same page and different offsets in the page Signed-off-by: Chandramohan Akula <chandramohan.akula@broadcom.com> Signed-off-by: Selvin Xavier <selvin.xavier@broadcom.com> Link: https://patch.msgid.link/1724945645-14989-4-git-send-email-selvin.xavier@broadcom.com Signed-off-by: Leon Romanovsky <leon@kernel.org>

2024-08-27RDMA/bnxt_re: Handle variable WQE support for user applicationsSelvin Xavier
User library calculates the number of slots required for user applications and it can pass that information to the driver. Driver can use this value and update the HW directly. This mechanism is currently used only for the newly introduced variable size WQEs. Extend the bnxt_re_qp_req structure to pass the Send Queue slot count. Reorganize the code to get the sq_slots before initializing the Send Queue attributes. 2024-08-27RDMA/bnxt_re: Get the WQE index from slot index while completing the WQEsSelvin Xavier
While reporting the completions, SQ Work Queue index is required to identify the WQE that generated the completions. In variable WQE mode, FW returns the slot index for Error completions. Driver need to walk through the shadow queue between the consumer index and producer index and matches the slot index returned by FW. If a match is found, the next index of the shadow queue is the WQE index to be considered for remaining poll_cq loop. 2024-08-27RDMA/bnxt_re: Add support for Variable WQE in Genp7 adaptersSelvin Xavier
Variable size WQE means that each send Work Queue Entry to HW can use different WQE sizes as opposed to the static WQE size on the current devices. Set variable WQE mode for Gen P7 devices. Depth of the Queue will be a multiple of slot which is 16 bytes. The number of slots should be a multiple of 256 as per the HW requirement. Initialize the Software shadow queue to hold requests equal to the number of slots. Also, do not expose the variable size WQE capability until the last patch in the series. 2024-05-30RDMA/bnxt_re: Expose the MSN table capability for user librarySelvin Xavier
BNXT_RE_COMP_MASK_UCNTX_HW_RETX_ENABLED was introduced to share the HW retransmit capability between driver and lib. The main difference in implementation for HW Retransmit support is the usage of MSN table or PSN table . When HW retrans is enabled, HW expects MSN table to be allocated by driver/lib, else PSN table (for older adapters). FW expose a new field which gives MSN capability. Drivers and libs can depend on the new field instead of HW Retrasns capability. For adapters which support HW_RETX feature, MSN table capability will be set. For older adapters, this value will be 0(to maintain backward compatibility with older FW). Rename UAPI just to capture the correct name of the HW capability that driver/library is interested in. No functional impact even if older rdma-core is used.
