2024-09-05iio: adc: standardize on formatting for id match tablesJonathan Cameron
This is a frequent minor comment in reviews, so start cleaning up existing drivers in the hope we get fewer cases of cut and paste. There are not kernel wide rules for these, but for IIO the style that I prefer (and hence most common) is: - Space after { and before } - No comma after terminator { } This may cause merge conflicts but they should be trivial to resolve hence I have not broken this into per driver patches. 2024-06-25iio: adc: mp2629_adc: make use of regmap_clear_bits(), regmap_set_bits()Trevor Gamblin
Instead of using regmap_update_bits() and passing the mask twice, use regmap_set_bits(). Instead of using regmap_update_bits() and passing val = 0, use regmap_clear_bits(). 2023-09-23iio: adc: mp2629: Convert to platform remove callback returning voidUwe Kleine-König
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers are converted, .remove_new() will be renamed to .remove(). Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove callback to the void returning variant. Input voltage channel enum is compared against iio address instead of the channel. 2022-06-14iio: adc: mp2629_adc: explicitly add proper header filesNuno Sá
Do not trust the fact that iio.h includes of.h which in turn includes all the headers we are relying on. The ultimate goal is to actually drop of.h from iio.h.
