The connector drivers need a handle to the source they are connected to
in order to control the source.
All drivers get that handle at probe time, resulting in probe deferral
when the source hasn't been probed yet. However they don't need the
handle until their connect handler is called.
Move retrieval of the source handle to the connect handler to avoid
probe deferrals.

Use backlight_enable/disable helpers instead of changing
the property and calling backlight_update_status for cleaner
and simpler code and also to avoid repetitions.

Having the filename in the header serves little purpose and is
often wrong after renames as it is here in several places, just
drop it from all omapdrm files.
While we are here unify the copyright tags to the TI recommended style.

As non-DT booting is no longer supported, the only way to instantiate
the device is through an OF node, which is guaranteed to be present.
Remove the unneeded check.

The associated backlight device can be configured via DT by providing the
phandle to the device.
If the backlight device is configured, the driver can manage the backligt
along with the panel's power state, iow it can turn on the backlight when
the panel is enabled and turn it off when the panel is disabled.

something else.
The code will be easier to follow if we use consistent names.

omap_video_timings can be replaced with the generic videomode in omapdrm
and the omap_video_timings can be removed.
This patch will replace the omap_video_timings with videomode.
With the change we no longer need the functions to convert to/from
videomode and drm_display_mode to omap_video_timings, these can be removed
as well.

Merge omapdss public header refactoring, which separates the public
header into omapdrm and omapfb parts.

To allow supporting displays that need some logic to enable power to the
display try to get a vcc-supply property from the device tree and drive
the resulting regulator accordingly.

Some displays have a reset input. To assert that the display is
functional the reset gpio must be deasserted.
Teach the driver to get and drive such a gpio accordingly.

This replaces the existing linux/gpio.h with linux/gpio/consumer.h
where needed. In case of panel-lgphilips-lb035q02.c however, we

and gpio_set_value_cansleep that are used for the non-DT case.

With certain kernel config options many omapdrm files fail to compile
due to missing include of linux/gpio/consumer.h and linux/of.h.
This patch adds those includes.

Now that omapfb has its own copy of omapdss and display drivers, we can
move omapdss and display drivers which omapdrm uses to omapdrm's
directory.
We also need to change the main drm Makefile so that omapdrm directory
is always entered, because omapdss has a file that can't be built as a
module.
