2023-01-10drm/imx/dcss: Don't call dev_set_drvdata(..., NULL);Uwe Kleine-König
The driver core takes care about removing driver data, so this can be dropped from the driver. 2023-01-10drm/imx/dcss: Drop if blocks with always false conditionUwe Kleine-König
dcss_drv_platform_remove() is only called for a device after dcss_drv_platform_probe() returned 0. In that case dev_set_drvdata() was called with a non-NULL value and so dev_get_drvdata() won't return NULL. 2022-12-12drm: imx/dcss: Remove #ifdef guards for PM related functionsPaul Cercueil
Use the EXPORT_GPL_DEV_PM_OPS() and pm_ptr() macros to handle the PM callbacks. These macros allow the PM functions to be automatically dropped by the compiler when CONFIG_PM is disabled, without having to use #ifdef guards. This has the advantage of always compiling these functions in, independently of any Kconfig option. Thanks to that, bugs and other regressions are subsequently easier to catch. 2022-07-05drm: Remove linux/fb.h from drm_crtc.hVille Syrjälä
drm_crtc.h has no need for linux/fb.h, so don't include it. Avoids useless rebuilds of the entire universe when touching linux/fb.h. Quite a few placs do currently depend on linux/fb.h or other headers pulled in by it without actually including any of it directly. All of those need to be fixed up. v2: Split the vmwgfx change out Acked-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Acked-by: Jani Nikula <jani.nikula@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Ville Syrjälä <ville.syrjala@linux.intel.com> Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/20220630195114.17407-3-ville.syrjala@linux.intel.com
2022-01-19drm/imx/dcss: Replace module initialization with DRM helpersJavier Martinez Canillas
Replace module_platform_driver() with drm_module_platform_driver(). The DRM macro respects drm_firmware_drivers_only() and fails if the flag has been set. 2020-09-09drm/imx: Add initial support for DCSS on iMX8MQLaurentiu Palcu
This adds initial support for iMX8MQ's Display Controller Subsystem (DCSS). Some of its capabilities include: * 4K@60fps; * HDR10; * one graphics and 2 video pipelines; * on-the-fly decompression of compressed video and graphics; The reference manual can be found here: https://www.nxp.com/webapp/Download?colCode=IMX8MDQLQRM The current patch adds only basic functionality: one primary plane for graphics, linear, tiled and super-tiled buffers support (no graphics decompression yet), no HDR10 and no video planes. Video planes support and HDR10 will be added in subsequent patches once per-plane de-gamma/CSC/gamma support is in.
