2024-12-18drm/i915/display: drop unnecessary i915_drv.h includesJani Nikula
Now that we don't include i915_drv.h via any headers from display, we can reliably remove unnecessary i915_drv.h includes and be sure they're not indirectly included. Add other includes where needed. v2: Fix 32-bit build Reviewed-by: Suraj Kandpal <suraj.kandpal@intel.com> Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/20241217132147.2008057-1-jani.nikula@intel.com Signed-off-by: Jani Nikula <jani.nikula@intel.com>
2024-08-16drm/i915/hti: convert to struct intel_displayJani Nikula
Going forward, struct intel_display shall replace struct drm_i915_private as the main display device data pointer type. Convert intel_hti.[ch] to struct intel_display. 2023-05-24drm/i915: Convert INTEL_INFO()->display to a pointerMatt Roper
Rather than embeddeding the display's device info within the main device info structure, just provide a pointer to the display-specific structure. This is in preparation for moving the display device info definitions into the display code itself and for eventually allowing the pointer to be assigned at runtime on platforms that use GMD_ID for device identification. In the future, this will also eventually allow the same display device info structures to be used outside the current i915 code (e.g., from the Xe driver). v2: - Move introduction of DISPLAY_INFO() to this patch. (Andrzej) v3: - Also use DISPLAY_INFO() in intel_display_reg_defs.h. (Andrzej) - Use "{}" instead of "{ 0 }" for empty struct init. 2022-11-23drm/i915/hti: avoid theoretically possible negative shiftJani Nikula
If phy is PHY_NONE, the shift to register bits becomes negative. Check and warn about this. 2022-11-17drm/i915/display: move hti under display sub-structJani Nikula
Move display hti/hdport related members under drm_i915_private display sub-struct. Prefer adding anonymous sub-structs even for single members that aren't our own structs. 2022-11-17drm/i915/hti: abstract hti handlingJani Nikula
The HTI or HDPORT handling is sprinkled around. Centralize to one place. Add a note about how subtle the mapping from HDPORT_STATE register to dpll mask actually is.
