2023-03-28drm/i915/ips: Add i915_ips_false_color debugfs fileVille Syrjälä
Similar to FBC let's expose an debugfs file to control IPS false color. Enabling this provides an immediate visual feedback on whether IPS is working or not. 2023-03-28drm/i915/ips: Make IPS debugfs per-crtcVille Syrjälä
IPS is a per-pipe feature, so let's move the debugfs stuff under the crtc directory, and only register it when IPS is actually available. 2022-10-22drm/i915: Introduce intel_crtc_needs_color_update()Ville Syrjälä
Add a common helper to answer the question "do we need to update color management stuff?". 2022-10-22drm/i915: Introduce intel_crtc_needs_fastset()Ville Syrjälä
Replace the somewhat obscure crtc_state.update_pipe checks with a more descriptive thing. Also nicely matches the intel_crtc_needs_modeset() counterpart for full modesets. v2: Handle one more case in the fbc code Reviewed-by: Jani Nikula <jani.nikula@intel.com> #v1 Signed-off-by: Ville Syrjälä <ville.syrjala@linux.intel.com> Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/20221021162442.27283-2-ville.syrjala@linux.intel.com

2022-05-20drm/i915/pcode: Extend pcode functions for multiple gt'sAshutosh Dixit
Each gt contains an independent instance of pcode. Extend pcode functions to interface with pcode on different gt's. To avoid creating dependency of display functionality on intel_gt, pcode function interfaces are exposed in terms of uncore rather than intel_gt. Callers have been converted to pass in the appropritate (i915 or intel_gt) uncore to the pcode functions. v2: Expose pcode functions in terms of uncore rather than gt (Jani/Rodrigo) v3: Retain previous function names to eliminate needless #defines (Rodrigo) v4: Move out i915_pcode_init() to a separate patch (Tvrtko) Remove duplicated drm_err/drm_dbg from intel_pcode_init() (Tvrtko) Cc: Tvrtko Ursulin <tvrtko.ursulin@linux.intel.com> Cc: Jani Nikula <jani.nikula@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Ashutosh Dixit <ashutosh.dixit@intel.com> Reviewed-by: Rodrigo Vivi <rodrigo.vivi@intel.com> Reviewed-by: Andi Shyti <andi.shyti@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Tvrtko Ursulin <tvrtko.ursulin@intel.com> Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/20220519085732.1276255-2-tvrtko.ursulin@linux.intel.com [tursulin: fixup merge conflict]

2022-02-09drm/i915: Move the IPS code to its own fileVille Syrjälä
IPS is a pretty well isolated feature. Move the relevant code to a separate file from polluting intel_display.c. I stuck to the hsw_ips name since that's what the function were already using, and also to avoid confusion with the ILK "Intelligen Power Sharing"/intel_ips GPU turbo stuff. And let's also do the s/dev_priv/i915/ rename while touching most of the code.
