2023-06-02crypto: marvell/cesa - Fix type mismatch warningArnd Bergmann
Commit df8fc4e934c1 ("kbuild: Enable -fstrict-flex-arrays=3") uncovered a type mismatch in cesa 3des support that leads to a memcpy beyond the end of a structure: In function 'fortify_memcpy_chk', inlined from 'mv_cesa_des3_ede_setkey' at drivers/crypto/marvell/cesa/cipher.c:307:2: include/linux/fortify-string.h:583:25: error: call to '__write_overflow_field' declared with attribute warning: detected write beyond size of field (1st parameter); maybe use struct_group()? [-Werror=attribute-warning] 583 | __write_overflow_field(p_size_field, size); | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is probably harmless as the actual data that is copied has the correct type, but clearly worth fixing nonetheless. 2021-01-29crypto: marvell/cesa - Fix use of sg_pcopy on iomem pointerHerbert Xu
The cesa driver mixes use of iomem pointers and normal kernel pointers. Sometimes it uses memcpy_toio/memcpy_fromio on both while other times it would use straight memcpy on both, through the sg_pcopy_* helpers. This patch fixes this by adding a new field sram_pool to the engine for the normal pointer case which then allows us to use the right interface depending on the value of engine->pool. 2021-01-22crypto: marvel/cesa - Fix tdma descriptor on 64-bitHerbert Xu
The patch that added src_dma/dst_dma to struct mv_cesa_tdma_desc is broken on 64-bit systems as the size of the descriptor has been changed. This patch fixes it by using u32 instead of dma_addr_t. 2020-11-20crypto: sha - split sha.h into sha1.h and sha2.hEric Biggers
Currently <crypto/sha.h> contains declarations for both SHA-1 and SHA-2, and <crypto/sha3.h> contains declarations for SHA-3. This organization is inconsistent, but more importantly SHA-1 is no longer considered to be cryptographically secure. So to the extent possible, SHA-1 shouldn't be grouped together with any of the other SHA versions, and usage of it should be phased out. Therefore, split <crypto/sha.h> into two headers <crypto/sha1.h> and <crypto/sha2.h>, and make everyone explicitly specify whether they want the declarations for SHA-1, SHA-2, or both. This avoids making the SHA-1 declarations visible to files that don't want anything to do with SHA-1. It also prepares for potentially moving sha1.h into a new insecure/ or dangerous/ directory. 2020-08-21crypto: marvell/cesa - Fix sparse warningsHerbert Xu
This patch fixes most sparse warnings in the cesa driver. The only ones remaining are to do with copying data between iomem pointers and SG lists. Most changes are trivial. The following are the noteworthy ones: - Removal of swab in mv_cesa_aes_setkey. This appears to be bogus as everything gets swabbed again later on so for BE this ends up being different from LE. The change takes the LE behaviour as the correct one. - next_dma in mv_cesa_tdma_chain was not swabbed. 2020-08-20crypto: algapi - Remove skbuff.h inclusionHerbert Xu
The header file algapi.h includes skbuff.h unnecessarily since all we need is a forward declaration for struct sk_buff. This patch removes that inclusion. Unfortunately skbuff.h pulls in a lot of things and drivers over the years have come to rely on it so this patch adds a lot of missing inclusions that result from this. 2020-08-07mm, treewide: rename kzfree() to kfree_sensitive()Waiman Long
As said by Linus: A symmetric naming is only helpful if it implies symmetries in use. Otherwise it's actively misleading. In "kzalloc()", the z is meaningful and an important part of what the caller wants. In "kzfree()", the z is actively detrimental, because maybe in the future we really _might_ want to use that "memfill(0xdeadbeef)" or something. The "zero" part of the interface isn't even _relevant_. The main reason that kzfree() exists is to clear sensitive information that should not be leaked to other future users of the same memory objects. Rename kzfree() to kfree_sensitive() to follow the example of the recently added kvfree_sensitive() and make the intention of the API more explicit. In addition, memzero_explicit() is used to clear the memory to make sure that it won't get optimized away by the compiler. The renaming is done by using the command sequence: git grep -w --name-only kzfree |\ xargs sed -i 's/kzfree/kfree_sensitive/' followed by some editing of the kfree_sensitive() kerneldoc and adding a kzfree backward compatibility macro in slab.h.
