2024-09-21clk: Switch back to struct platform_driver::remove()Uwe Kleine-König
After commit 0edb555a65d1 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove() return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for platform drivers. Convert all clk drivers to use .remove(), with the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As .remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer. 2024-06-03clk: mediatek: Add a module description where missingAngeloGioacchino Del Regno
Add a MODULE_DESCRIPTION() on all drivers that miss it to avoid modpost warnings. 2023-05-10clk: mediatek: Convert all remaining drivers to platform_driver's .remove_new()Uwe Kleine-König
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is (mostly) ignored and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns void. Trivially convert all mediatek clk drivers from always returning zero in the remove callback to the void returning variant. 2023-03-13clk: mediatek: Add MODULE_LICENSE() where missingAngeloGioacchino Del Regno
In order to successfully build clock drivers as modules it is required to declare a module license: add it where missing. While at it, also change the MODULE_LICENSE text from "GPL v2" to "GPL" (which means the same) on clk-mt7981-eth.c. 2023-03-13clk: mediatek: mt2712-apmixedsys: Add .remove() callback for module buildAngeloGioacchino Del Regno
Add a .remove() callback to the apmixedsys driver to allow full module build; while at it, also change the usage of builtin_platform_driver() to module_platform_driver() to actually make use of the new callback. 2023-03-13clk: mediatek: mt2712: Move apmixedsys clock driver to its own fileAngeloGioacchino Del Regno
The only clock driver that does not support mtk_clk_simple_probe() is apmixedsys: in preparation for enabling module build of non-critical mt2712 clocks, move this to its own file. While at it, also fix some indentation issues in the PLLs table.
