2023-12-22tcp: Save address type in inet_bind2_bucket.Kuniyuki Iwashima
inet_bind2_bucket_addr_match() and inet_bind2_bucket_match_addr_any() are called for each bhash2 bucket to check conflicts. Thus, we call ipv6_addr_any() and ipv6_addr_v4mapped() over and over during bind(). Let's avoid calling them by saving the address type in inet_bind2_bucket. 2023-12-22tcp: Save v4 address as v4-mapped-v6 in inet_bind2_bucket.v6_rcv_saddr.Kuniyuki Iwashima
In bhash2, IPv4/IPv6 addresses are saved in two union members, which complicate address checks in inet_bind2_bucket_addr_match() and inet_bind2_bucket_match_addr_any() considering uninitialised memory and v4-mapped-v6 conflicts. Let's simplify that by saving IPv4 address as v4-mapped-v6 address and defining tb2.rcv_saddr as tb2.v6_rcv_saddr.s6_addr32[3]. Then, we can compare v6 address as is, and after checking v4-mapped-v6, we can compare v4 address easily. Also, we can remove tb2->family. Note these functions will be further refactored in the next patch. Signed-off-by: Kuniyuki Iwashima <kuniyu@amazon.com> Reviewed-by: Eric Dumazet <edumazet@google.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2023-12-22tcp: Rearrange tests in inet_bind2_bucket_(addr_match|match_addr_any)().Kuniyuki Iwashima
The protocol family tests in inet_bind2_bucket_addr_match() and inet_bind2_bucket_match_addr_any() are ordered as follows. if (sk->sk_family != tb2->family) else if (sk->sk_family == AF_INET6) else This patch rearranges them so that AF_INET6 socket is handled first to make the following patch tidy, where tb2->family will be removed. if (sk->sk_family == AF_INET6) else if (tb2->family == AF_INET6) else Signed-off-by: Kuniyuki Iwashima <kuniyu@amazon.com> Reviewed-by: Eric Dumazet <edumazet@google.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2023-12-22tcp: Use bhash2 for v4-mapped-v6 non-wildcard address.Kuniyuki Iwashima
While checking port availability in bind() or listen(), we used only bhash for all v4-mapped-v6 addresses. But there is no good reason not to use bhash2 for v4-mapped-v6 non-wildcard addresses. Let's do it by returning true in inet_use_bhash2_on_bind(). Then, we also need to add a test in inet_bind2_bucket_match_addr_any() so that ::ffff:X.X.X.X will match with 0.0.0.0. Note that sk->sk_rcv_saddr is initialised for v4-mapped-v6 sk in __inet6_bind(). git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tnguy/next-queue Tony Nguyen says: ==================== intel: use bitfield operations Jesse Brandeburg says: After repeatedly getting review comments on new patches, and sporadic patches to fix parts of our drivers, we should just convert the Intel code to use FIELD_PREP() and FIELD_GET(). It's then "common" in the code and hopefully future change-sets will see the context and do-the-right-thing. This conversion was done with a coccinelle script which is mentioned in the commit messages. Generally there were only a couple conversions that were "undone" after the automatic changes because they tried to convert a non-contiguous mask. Patch 1 is required at the beginning of this series to fix a "forever" issue in the e1000e driver that fails the compilation test after conversion because the shift / mask was out of range. The second patch just adds all the new #includes in one go. The patch titled: "ice: fix pre-shifted bit usage" is needed to allow the use of the FIELD_* macros and fix up the unexpected "shifts included" defines found while creating this series. The rest are the conversion to use FIELD_PREP()/FIELD_GET(), and the occasional leXX_{get,set,encode}_bits() call, as suggested by Alex. ==================== Signed-off-by: David S. 2023-12-22netfilter: ctnetlink: support filtering by zoneFelix Huettner
conntrack zones are heavily used by tools like openvswitch to run multiple virtual "routers" on a single machine. In this context each conntrack zone matches to a single router, thereby preventing overlapping IPs from becoming issues. In these systems it is common to operate on all conntrack entries of a given zone, e.g. to delete them when a router is deleted. Previously this required these tools to dump the full conntrack table and filter out the relevant entries in userspace potentially causing performance issues. To do this we reuse the existing CTA_ZONE attribute. This was previous parsed but not used during dump and flush requests. Now if CTA_ZONE is set we filter these operations based on the provided zone. However this means that users that previously passed CTA_ZONE will experience a difference in functionality. Alternatively CTA_FILTER could have been used for the same functionality. However it is not yet supported during flush requests and is only available when using AF_INET or AF_INET6. 2023-12-22netfilter: nf_tables: mark newset as dead on transaction abortFlorian Westphal
If a transaction is aborted, we should mark the to-be-released NEWSET dead, just like commit path does for DEL and DESTROYSET commands. In both cases all remaining elements will be released via set->ops->destroy(). The existing abort code does NOT post the actual release to the work queue. Also the entire __nf_tables_abort() function is wrapped in gc_seq begin/end pair. Therefore, async gc worker will never try to release the pending set elements, as gc sequence is always stale. It might be possible to speed up transaction aborts via work queue too, this would result in a race and a possible use-after-free. So fix this before it becomes an issue. Some drivers might misbehave if TSO packets get too big. GVE for instance uses a 16bit field in its TX descriptor, and will do bad things if a packet is bigger than 2^16 bytes. Linux TCP stack honors dev->gso_max_size, but there are other ways for too big packets to reach an ndo_start_xmit() handler : virtio_net, af_packet, GRO... 2023-12-21net: avoid build bug in skb extension length calculationThomas Weißschuh
GCC seems to incorrectly fail to evaluate skb_ext_total_length() at compile time under certain conditions. The issue even occurs if all values in skb_ext_type_len[] are "0", ruling out the possibility of an actual overflow. As the patch has been in mainline since v6.6 without triggering the problem it seems to be a very uncommon occurrence. Only the posix timer system calls use this (when the posix timer support is disabled, which does not actually happen in any normal case), because they had debug code to print out a warning about missing system calls. Get rid of that special case, and just use the standard COND_SYSCALL interface that creates weak system call stubs that return -ENOSYS for when the system call does not exist. This fixes a kCFI issue with the SYS_NI() hackery: CFI failure at int80_emulation+0x67/0xb0 (target: sys_ni_posix_timers+0x0/0x70; expected type: 0xb02b34d9) WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 48 at int80_emulation+0x67/0xb0 Reported-by: kernel test robot <oliver.sang@intel.com> Reviewed-by: Sami Tolvanen <samitolvanen@google.com> Tested-by: Sami Tolvanen <samitolvanen@google.com> Cc: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de> Cc: Dave Hansen <dave.hansen@linux.intel.com> Cc: Borislav Petkov <bp@alien8.de> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>

2023-12-20net/mlx5e: Block TLS device offload on combined SD netdevTariq Toukan
1) Each TX TLS device offloaded context has its own TIS object. Extra work is needed to get it working in a SD environment, where a stream can move between different SQs (belonging to different mdevs). 2) Each RX TLS device offloaded context needs a DEK object from the DEK pool. Extra work is needed to get it working in a SD environment, as the DEK pool currently falsely depends on TX cap, and is on the primary device only. Disallow this combination for now. 2023-12-20net/mlx5e: Support per-mdev queue counterTariq Toukan
Each queue counter object counts some events (in hardware) for the RQs that are attached to it, like events of packet drops due to no receive WQE (rx_out_of_buffer). Each RQ can be attached to a queue counter only within the same vhca. To still cover all RQs with these counters, we create multiple instances, one per vhca. The result that's shown to the user is now the sum of all instances. Signed-off-by: Tariq Toukan <tariqt@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Saeed Mahameed <saeedm@nvidia.com>
2023-12-20net/mlx5e: Support cross-vhca RSSTariq Toukan
Implement driver support for the HW feature that allows RX steering of one device to target other device's RQs. In SD multi-mdev netdev mode, we set the secondaries into silent mode, disconnecting them from the network. This feature is then used to steer traffic from the primary to the secondaries. 2023-12-20net/mlx5e: Let channels be SD-awareTariq Toukan
Distribute the channels between the different SD-devices to acheive local numa node performance on multiple numas. Each channel works against one specific mdev, creating all datapath queues against it. We distribute channels to mdevs in a round-robin policy. Example for 2 mdevs and 6 channels: +-------+---------+ | ch ix | mdev ix | +-------+---------+ | 0 | 0 | | 1 | 1 | | 2 | 0 | | 3 | 1 | | 4 | 0 | | 5 | 1 | +-------+---------+ This round-robin distribution policy is preferred over another suggested intuitive distribution, in which we first distribute one half of the channels to mdev #0 and then the second half to mdev #1. We prefer round-robin for a reason: it is less influenced by changes in the number of channels. The mapping between channel index and mdev is fixed, no matter how many channels the user configures. As the channel stats are persistent to channels closure, changing the mapping every single time would turn the accumulative stats less representing of the channel's history. Per-channel objects should stop using the primary mdev (priv->mdev) directly, and instead move to using their own channel's mdev. 2023-12-20net/mlx5e: Create single netdev per SD groupTariq Toukan
Integrate the SD library calls into the auxiliary_driver ops in preparation for creating a single netdev for the multiple devices belonging to the same SD group. SD is still disabled at this stage. It is enabled by a downstream patch when all needed parts are implemented. The netdev is created only when the SD group, with all its participants, are ready. It is later destroyed if any of the participating devices drops. 2023-12-20net/mlx5: SD, Implement steering for primary and secondariesTariq Toukan
Implement the needed SD steering adjustments for the primary and secondaries. While the SD multiple devices are used to avoid cross-numa memory, when it comes to chip level all traffic goes only through the primary device. The secondaries are forced to silent mode, to guarantee they are not involved in any unexpected ingress/egress traffic. In RX, secondary devices will not have steering objects. Traffic will be steered from the primary device to the RQs of a secondary device using advanced cross-vhca RX steering capabilities. In TX, the primary creates a new TX flow table, which is aliased by the secondaries. Signed-off-by: Tariq Toukan <tariqt@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Saeed Mahameed <saeedm@nvidia.com>
2023-12-20net/mlx5: SD, Implement devcom communication and primary electionTariq Toukan
Use devcom to communicate between the different devices. Add a new devcom component type for this. Each device registers itself to the devcom component <SD, group ID>. Once all devices of a component are registered, the component becomes ready, and a primary device is elected. In principle, any of the devices can act as a primary, they are all capable, and a random election would've worked. However, we aim to achieve predictability and consistency, hence each group always choses the same device, with the lowest PCI BUS number, as primary. 2023-12-20net/mlx5e: Use the correct lag ports number when creating TISesSaeed Mahameed
The cited commit moved the code of mlx5e_create_tises() and changed the loop to create TISes over MLX5_MAX_PORTS constant value, instead of getting the correct lag ports supported by the device, which can cause FW errors on devices with less than MLX5_MAX_PORTS ports. Change that back to mlx5e_get_num_lag_ports(mdev). Also IPoIB interfaces create there own TISes, they don't use the eth TISes, pass a flag to indicate that.
