The timestamping API has separate bits for generating and reporting
timestamps. A software timestamp should only be reported for a packet
when the packet has the relevant generation flag (SKBTX_..) set
and the socket has reporting bit SOF_TIMESTAMPING_SOFTWARE set.
The second check was accidentally removed. Reinstitute the original
behavior.
Tested:
Without this patch, Documentation/networking/txtimestamp reports
timestamps regardless of whether SOF_TIMESTAMPING_SOFTWARE is set.
After the patch, it only reports them when the flag is set.

They are use less, and may generate compiling warnings, so remove them
(microblaze, arc, arm64, and unicore32 have already defined PCI_IOBASE).

Use dst_entry held by sk_dst_get() to retrieve tunnel's PMTU.
The dst_mtu(__sk_dst_get(tunnel->sock)) call was racy. __sk_dst_get()
could return NULL if tunnel->sock->sk_dst_cache was reset just before the
call, thus making dst_mtu() dereference a NULL pointer:

The function cleaning up an initialized event
was called from the "event_del" handler, instead
of being used as the "destroy" callback. In case of
events group allocation this caused NULL pointer
dereference (as events are added and deleted
multiple times then). Fixed now.

Exchange the location of rtl8152_set_mac_address() and
set_ethernet_addr(). Then, the set_ethernet_addr() could
set the MAC address by calling rtl8152_set_mac_address()
later.

The following series implements rx_copybreak.
dma_map_single()/dma_unmap_single() is more expensive than alloc_skb & memcpy
for smaller packets. By doing this we can reuse the dma buff which is already
mapped. This is very useful when iommu is on. The default skb copybreak value
is 256.
When iommu is on, we can go much higher than 256. All the drivers that supports
rx_copybreak provides module parameter to change this value. Since module
parameter is the least preferred way for changing driver values, this series
adds ethtool support for setting rx_copybreak.

Validate tunable length in ethtool_get_tunable, not in driver implemented
function.
Loose tunable_ops array for each tunable type. Define one function and let the

This patch adds new ethtool cmd, ETHTOOL_GTUNABLE & ETHTOOL_STUNABLE for getting
tunable values from driver.
Add get_tunable and set_tunable to ethtool_ops. Driver implements these
functions for getting/setting tunable value.

Marcel reported to see the following message when autoloading
is being triggered when adding nlmon device:
Loading kernel module for a network device with
CAP_SYS_MODULE (deprecated). Use CAP_NET_ADMIN and alias
netdev-nlmon instead.
This false-positive happens despite with having correct
capabilities set, e.g. through issuing `ip link del dev nlmon`
more than once on a valid device with name nlmon, but Marcel
has also seen it on creation time when no nlmon module is
previously compiled-in or loaded as module and the device
name equals a link type name (e.g. nlmon, vxlan, team).
Stephen says:
The netdev module alias is a hold over from the past. For
normal devices, people used to create a alias eth0 to and
point it to the type of network device used, that was back
in the bad old ISA days before real discovery.
Also, the tunnels create module alias for the control device
and ip used to use this to autoload the tunnel device.
The message is bogus and should just be removed, I also see
it in a couple of other cases where tap devices are renamed
for other usese.
As mentioned in 8909c9ad8ff0 ("net: don't allow CAP_NET_ADMIN
to load non-netdev kernel modules"), we nevertheless still
might want to leave the old autoloading behaviour in place
as it could break old scripts, so for now, lets just remove
the log message as Stephen suggests.

With eBPF getting more extended and exposure to user space is on it's way,
hardening the memory range the interpreter uses to steer its command flow
seems appropriate. This patch moves the to be interpreted bytecode to
read-only pages.
In case we execute a corrupted BPF interpreter image for some reason e.g.
caused by an attacker which got past a verifier stage, it would not only
provide arbitrary read/write memory access but arbitrary function calls
as well. After setting up the BPF interpreter image, its contents do not
change until destruction time, thus we can setup the image on immutable
made pages in order to mitigate modifications to that code. The idea
is derived from commit 314beb9bcabf ("x86: bpf_jit_comp: secure bpf jit
against spraying attacks").
This is possible because bpf_prog is not part of sk_filter anymore.
After setup bpf_prog cannot be altered during its life-time. This prevents
any modifications to the entire bpf_prog structure (incl. function/JIT
image pointer).
Every eBPF program (including classic BPF that are migrated) have to call
bpf_prog_select_runtime() to select either interpreter or a JIT image
as a last setup step, and they all are being freed via bpf_prog_free(),
including non-JIT. Therefore, we can easily integrate this into the
eBPF life-time, plus since we directly allocate a bpf_prog, we have no
performance penalty.
Tested with seccomp and test_bpf testsuite in JIT/non-JIT mode and manual
inspection of kernel_page_tables. Brad Spengler proposed the same idea
via Twitter during development of this patch.

Calling setsockopt with IPV6_JOIN_ANYCAST or IPV6_LEAVE_ANYCAST
triggers the assertion in addrconf_join_solict()/addrconf_leave_solict()
ipv6_sock_ac_join(), ipv6_sock_ac_drop(), ipv6_sock_ac_close() need to
take RTNL before calling ipv6_dev_ac_inc/dec. Same thing with
ipv6_sock_mc_join(), ipv6_sock_mc_drop(), ipv6_sock_mc_close() before
calling ipv6_dev_mc_inc/dec.
This patch moves ASSERT_RTNL() up a level in the call stack.

Dave Hansen reports a massive scalability regression in an uncontained
page fault benchmark with more than 30 concurrent threads, which he
bisected down to 05b843012335 ("mm: memcontrol: use root_mem_cgroup
res_counter") and pin-pointed on res_counter spinlock contention.
That change relied on the per-cpu charge caches to mostly swallow the
res_counter costs, but it's apparent that the caches don't scale yet.
Revert memcg back to bypassing res_counters on the root level in order
to restore performance for uncontained workloads.

This patch changes sync_filesystem() to be EXPORT_SYMBOL().
The reason this is needed is that starting with 3.15 kernel, due to
Theodore Ts'o's commit 02b9984d6408 ("fs: push sync_filesystem() down to
the file system's remount_fs()"), all file systems that have dirty data
to be written out need to call sync_filesystem() from their
->remount_fs() method when remounting read-only.
As this is now a generically required function rather than an internal
only function it should be EXPORT_SYMBOL() so that all file systems can
call it.

When we bring the interface down, phy_stop() will schedule the PHY
state machine to call our link adjustment callback. By the time we do so,
we may have clock gated off the SYSTEMPORT hardware block, and this will
cause bus errors to happen in bcm_sysport_adj_link():
Make sure that we only touch the UMAC_CMD register when there is an
actual link. This is safe to do for two reasons:
- updating the Ethernet MAC registers only make sense when a physical
link is present
- the PHY library state machine first set phydev->link = 0 before
invoking phydev->adjust_link in the PHY_HALTED case
This is a similar fix to the GENET one:

As in IPv6 people might increase the igmp query robustness variable to
make sure unsolicited state change reports aren't lost on the network. Add
and document this new knob to igmp code.
RFCs allow tuning this parameter back to first IGMP RFC, so we also use
this setting for all counters, including source specific multicast.
Also take over sysctl value when upping the interface and don't reuse
the last one seen on the interface.

This patch adds a new sysctl_mld_qrv knob to configure the mldv1/v2 query
robustness variable. It specifies how many retransmit of unsolicited mld
retransmit should happen. Admins might want to tune this on lossy links.
Also reset mld state on interface down/up, so we pick up new sysctl
settings during interface up event.
IPv6 certification requests this knob to be available.
I didn't make this knob netns specific, as it is mostly a setting in a
physical environment and should be per host.

It seems that exit_aio() also needs to wait for all iocbs to complete (like
io_destroy), but we missed the wait step in current implemention, so fix
it in the same way as we did in io_destroy.

The local nohz kick is currently used by perf which needs it to be
NMI-safe. Recent commit though (7d1311b93e58ed55f3a31cc8f94c4b8fe988a2b9)
changed its implementation to fire the local kick using the remote kick
API. It was convenient to make the code more generic but the remote kick
isn't NMI-safe.

DRA7 evm REV G and later boards uses a vtt regulator for DDR3
termination and this is controlled by gpio7_11. This gpio is
configured in boot loader. gpio7_11, which is only available only on
Pad A22, in previous boards, is connected only to an unused pad on
expansion connector EXP_P3 and is safe to be muxed as GPIO on all
DRA7-evm versions (without a need to spin off another dts file).
Since gpio7_11 is used to control VTT and should not be reset or kept
in idle state during boot up else VTT will be disconnected and DDR
gets corrupted. So, as part of this change, mark gpio7 as no-reset and
no-idle on init.

Both QSPI and GPMC-NAND share the same Pin (A8) from the SoC for Chip Select
functionality. So both can't be enabled simultaneously.
Disable QSPI node to prevent the pin conflict as well as
be similar to 3.12 release.

For NAND read & write wait pin monitoring must be kept disabled as the
wait pin is only used to indicate NAND device ready status and not to
extend each read/write cycle.
So don't print a warning if wait pin is specified while read/write
monitoring is not in the device tree.
Sanity check wait pin number irrespective if read/write monitoring is
set or not.

NAND uses wait pin only to indicate device readiness after
a block/page operation. It is not use to extend individual
read/write cycle and so read/write wait pin monitoring must
be disabled for NAND.
Add gpmc wait pin information as the NAND uses wait pin 0
for device ready indication.

am437x-gp-evm uses a NAND chip with page size 4096 bytes
and spare area of 225 bytes per page.
For such a setup it is preferrable to use BCH16 ECC scheme over
BCH8. This also makes it compatible with ROM code ECC scheme so
we can boot with NAND after flashing from kernel.
