There is a race condition between resolving indirect ref and root deletion,
and we should gurantee that root can not be destroyed to avoid accessing
broken tree here.
Here we fix it by holding @subvol_srcu, and we will release it as soon
as we have held root node lock.

When we have two adjacent extents in relink_extent_backref,
we try to merge them. When we use btrfs_search_slot to locate the
slot for the current extent, we shouldn't set "ins_len = 1",
because we will merge it into the previous extent rather than
insert a new item. Otherwise, we may happen to create a new leaf
in btrfs_search_slot and path->slot[0] will be 0. Then we try to
fetch the previous item using "path->slots[0]--", and it will cause
a warning as follows:

The send operation processes inodes by their ascending number, and assumes
that any rename/move operation can be successfully performed (sent to the
caller) once all previous inodes (those with a smaller inode number than the
one we're currently processing) were processed.
This is not true when an incremental send had to process an hierarchical change
between 2 snapshots where the parent-children relationship between directory
inodes was reversed - that is, parents became children and children became
parents. This situation made the path building code go into an infinite loop,
which kept allocating more and more memory that eventually lead to a krealloc
warning being displayed in dmesg:

Even without this loop, the incremental send couldn't succeed, because it would attempt
to send a rename/move operation for the lower inode before the highest inode number was
renamed/move. This issue is easy to trigger with the following steps:

Currently struct fanotify_event_info has been destroyed immediately
after reporting its contents to userspace. However that is wrong for
permission events because those need to stay around until userspace
provides response which is filled back in fanotify_event_info. So change
to code to free permission events only after we have got the response
from userspace.

The event returned from fsnotify_add_notify_event() cannot ever be used
safely as the event may be freed by the time the function returns (after
dropping notification_mutex). So change the prototype to just return
whether the event was added or merged into some existing event.

We cannot use the event structure returned from
fsnotify_add_notify_event() because that event can be freed by the time
that function returns. Use the mask argument passed into the event
handler directly instead. This also fixes a possible problem when we
could unnecessarily wait for permission response for a normal fanotify
event which got merged with a permission event.
We also disallow merging of permission event with any other event so
that we know the permission event which we just created is the one on
which we should wait for permission response.

Drivers should not bind to struct acpi_device objects that
acpi_bus_trim() has been called for, so make that function
clear flags.match_driver for those objects.
If that is not done, an ACPI driver may theoretically try to operate
a device that is not physically present.

The commit 1d3ee88ae0d605629bf369
(bonding: add netlink attributes to slave link dev)
has add rtmsg_ifinfo() in bond_set_active_slave() and
bond_set_backup_slave(), so the two function need to
called in RTNL lock, but bond_loadbalance_arp_mon()
only calling these functions in RCU, warning message
will occurs.
fix this by add a new function bond_slave_state_change(),
which will reset the slave's state after slave link check,
so remove the bond_set_xxx_slave() from the cycle and only
record the slave_state_changed, this will call the new
function to set all slaves to new state in RTNL later.

A file descriptor opened for /dev/net/tun and a tun device are
connected with ioctl. Though understanding the connection is
important for trouble shooting, no way is given to a user to know
the connected device for a given file descriptor at userland.
This patch adds a new fdinfo field for the device name connected to
a file descriptor opened for /dev/net/tun.
Here is an example of the field:

Though described as required, the "ti,davinci-rmii-en" property for the DaVinci
EMAC binding seems actually optional, as the driver should happily work without
it; the property is not specified either in the example device node or in the
actual EMAC device node for DA850 device tree, only AM3517 one.
While at it, document the property better...

The pci.o is built for SPARC64_PCI -- which is bool, and hence
this code is either present or absent. It will never be modular,
so using module_init as an alias for __initcall can be somewhat
misleading.
Fix this up now, so that we can relocate module_init from
init.h into module.h in the future. If we don't do this, we'd
have to add module.h to obviously non-modular code, and that
would be a worse thing.
Note that direct use of __initcall is discouraged, vs. one
of the priority categorized subgroups. As __initcall gets
mapped onto device_initcall, our use of device_initcall
directly in this change means that the runtime impact is
zero -- it will remain at level 6 in initcall ordering.

left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to
code getting copied from one driver to the next.

blackfin: bf60x: clock: return 0 upon error from clk_round_rate()
clk_round_rate() should return 0 upon an error, rather than returning
a negative error code. This is because clk_round_rate() is being
changed to return an unsigned return type rather than a signed type,
since some clock sources can generate rates higher than (2^31)-1 Hz.

Commit 9a46ad6d6df3b54 "smp: make smp_call_function_many() use logic
similar to smp_call_function_single()" has unified the way to handle
single and multiple cross-CPU function calls. Now only one interrupt
is needed for architecture specific code to support generic SMP function
call interfaces, so kill the redundant single function call interrupt.

The code in remove_cache_dir() is supposed to remove the "cache"
subdirectory from the sysfs directory for a CPU when that CPU is
being offlined. It tries to do this by calling kobject_put() on
the kobject for the subdirectory. However, the subdirectory only
gets removed once the last reference goes away, and the reference
being put here may well not be the last reference. That means
that the "cache" subdirectory may still exist when the offlining
operation has finished. If the same CPU subsequently gets onlined,
the code tries to add a new "cache" subdirectory. If the old
subdirectory has not yet been removed, we get a WARN_ON in the
sysfs code, with stack trace, and an error message printed on the
console. Further, we ultimately end up with an online cpu with no
"cache" subdirectory.
This fixes it by doing an explicit kobject_del() at the point where
we want the subdirectory to go away. kobject_del() removes the sysfs
directory even though the object still exists in memory. The object
will get freed at some point in the future. A subsequent onlining
operation can create a new sysfs directory, even if the old object
still exists in memory, without causing any problems.

According to Posix, if MAP_FIXED is specified mmap shall set ENOMEM if
the requested mapping exceeds the allowed range for address space of
the process. The generic code set it right, but the specific powerpc
slice_get_unmapped_area() function currently returns -EINVAL in that
case.
This patch corrects it.

smt-snooze-delay was designed to disable NAP state or delay the entry
to the NAP state prior to adoption of cpuidle framework. This
is per-cpu variable. With the coming of CPUIDLE framework,
states can be disabled on per-cpu basis using the cpuidle/enable
sysfs entry.
Also, with the coming of cpuidle driver each state's target residency
is per-driver unlike earlier which was per-device. Therefore,
the per-cpu sysfs smt-snooze-delay which decides the target residency
of the idle state on a particular cpu causes more confusion to the user
as we cannot have different smt-snooze-delay (target residency)
values for each cpu.
In the current code, smt-snooze-delay functionality is completely broken.
It makes sense to remove smt-snooze-delay from idle driver with the
coming of cpuidle framework.
However, sysfs files are retained as ppc64_util currently
utilises it. Once we fix ppc64_util, propose to clean
up the kernel code.

Currently cpuidle-pseries backend driver cannot be
built as a module due to dependencies wrt cpuidle framework.
This patch removes all the module related code in the driver.

This patch replaces the cpuidle driver and devices initialisation
calls with a single generic cpuidle_register() call
and also includes minor refactoring of the code around it.
Remove the cpu online check in snooze loop, as this code can
only locally run on a cpu only if it is online. Therefore,
this check is not required.

Move the file from arch specific pseries/processor_idle.c
to drivers/cpuidle/cpuidle-pseries.c
Make the relevant Makefile and Kconfig changes.
Also, introduce Kconfig.powerpc in drivers/cpuidle
for all powerpc cpuidle drivers.

Commit d31626f70b61 ("powerpc: Don't corrupt transactional state when
using FP/VMX in kernel") introduced a bug where the uc_link and uc_regs
fields of the ucontext_t that is created to hold the transactional
values of the registers in a 32-bit signal frame didn't get set
correctly. The reason is that we now clear the MSR_TS bits in the MSR
in save_tm_user_regs(), before the code that sets uc_link and uc_regs.
To fix this, we move the setting of uc_link and uc_regs into the same
if statement that selects whether to call save_tm_user_regs() or
save_user_regs().

Commit d084775738b746648d4102337163a04534a02982 switched the generic
powerpc iommu backend code to use the it_page_shift field to determine
page size. Commit 3a553170d35d69bea3877bffa508489dfa6f133d should have
initiliased this field for all platforms, however the DART iommu table
code was not updated.
This commit initialises the it_page_shift field to 4K for the DART
iommu.
